Local neighborhood lumberyard! Showroom is in front; store front--and additional parking--are around the back. So I'm going to square with you up front: I am not a guy typically fiund in lumber yards, I had no idea what I needed; but the friendly service and wide selection of materials allowed me to find exactly what I needed.... and they even cut it to size! This is now my go-to place for lumber and supply.
A very bad experience and I decided to go to Tw Perry, to buy the materials. The agent who attended us with the initials "GEN" was rude and gave us a terrible service, also inexperienced without knowledge in the field of materials much less work she does, she felt rushed because it was going to be time to close the store, also nothing nice about that. Honestly so bad customer service. Hopefully this doesn't happen to someone else, they have a job thanks to the materials and products that we customers buy.
Great full service lumberyard and building supply store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you buy exactly what you need. Highly recommend.
Be careful with the salesperson Henry. He will forget to add items and later will say i forgot and doesn't take any responsibility for his mistakes nor does the company.it will cost you much more. Please check everything with him!!
So glad that we have this alternaative to the big box stores in the area. I have received wonderful service and excellent quality materials that I would never have experienced elsewhere. If they don't have it in stock, they likely will manage to get it special ordered for you. Because of supply problems in the current economy, you may have to wait a while, but it has always been worth the wait. Great company. Great people.
If you're a pro, this may be great. If you're not a pro, it has a good selection of lumber that beats HD in quality and the staff that helps you load it in your vehicle is helpful in discarding bad wood. But if you aren't sure what you want or where thing are or how to proceed, the process is a bit hard to figure out. And the search engine on their website is pretty much unusable.
This place is really two entirely different stores: an unremarkable and adequate lumberyard/hardware store and an absolutely disastrous window and door retailer. We have had absolutely nothing but trouble through the entire selection, purchasing, and delivery processes and we still don't have either the correct doors or even usable doors. Their customer service is terrible. They fail to return calls or emails and it takes weeks to get an actionable quote to finally give them money to purchase doors and windows leading to delays in our renovation project entirely because of TW Perry. It took longer than stated to get everything in stock. We had to visit their warehouse three separate times to pick up our order because despite telling us three different times it was ready...it was not. Once we did finally pick up the doors, we wished we hadn't. The doors were nicked, warped, and hardware was installed incorrectly. They were entirely unusable and the full order still has not come in. We canceled it and have moved on. Throughout the entire process their customer service has been abysmal. Local companies like TW Perry love to complain about online and big box companies putting them out of business. Instead, it's almost always their own poor customer service. If you need lumber, maybe this is a place to consider going though their customer service is completely hit or miss and if you want to cut a 14' down to an 8' and 6', it's the biggest hassle ever - though Home Depot happily did it for me!. If you instead are in the market for doors and windows I cannot warn you off enough. Just stay away from this disaster of a store. The dust, disruption, and damage of a home renovation don't hold a candle to the frustration of working with TW Perry!
Very convenient place to buy construction materials
I really wanted to like this place because I live in the neighborhood. I bought a couple pieces of lumber after showing the sales person a picture of what I needed. I didn’t know how much I needed so I specifically asked if the extra couple be returned. They sold me something different from the picture much more expensive and then told me I couldn’t return it. I feel like I got totally tricked. To his credit, the second sales associate said he talked to a manager but that person never came and spoke to me. At least Home Depot lets you return stuff even if it’s your mistake! Will not return.
Showroom is open by appointment only, though they mention nothing about this on their website, and they don’t pick up their phone, so I only found out when I arrived to find the showroom door locked. Waste of a good 20 minutes driving over here. Avoid
