This location was clean and organized compared to other locations. I saw enough equipment and supplies available to rent and purchase. I only saw one employee Lea, but she seemed to manage this location well. I came early and there was only one customer besides myself waiting. Lea was very pleasant, courteous and professional. She did not keep us waiting and didn't take long helping me with renting to the supplies I needed. I would highly recommend this location and hope the company hires more employees like her. I would give her and this location excellent review.
Very nice helpful people working at the front desk all three times I’ve gone in recently to prepare for a move. If they are out of stock they will proactively offer to let you know where to find it or when it will be back in stock. Granted, this should not be considered unusually good service, but if you compare it your average shopping experience, at say, the local Safeway or Walmart? The u-haul employees beat them by a long shot.
Our experience was positive from pick-up to drop off. I would like to give Jonathon particularly high praise for his customer service, kindness, and all around helpfulness! He helped make our experience top notch.
Nicholas, store owner was the best! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all questions and stuff we hadn't thought of. He was easy-going, no-pressure and always nice to work with. Totally recommend U-Haul of Sunnyvale to everyone!
The person at the counter was not only disinterested in doing his job, he was extremely unhelpful, passive aggressive and borderline rude to customers. While picking up the packing supplies, I observed his interactions with other people. And then the same happened to me as well. Here is a sample how they talk to their customers - "AS I JUST TOLD THE OTHER PERSON, what you see online is not what we have in the store!" That customer stormed out of if the store "PHYSICAL CARDS ONLY!" "Is this the first time you are using a card?!?" they seriously need to update their card reader Basic politeness is not too much to ask, especially for someone in charge of talking to the customers. Two stars instead of 0 because they had three moving supplies that I was looking for.
Asked to rent a truck in Morgan Hill, Ca at 2PM. They told us to pick up the truck in Sunnyvale at 10. When we got to Sunnyvale 45mins away at 2 the time we could get off work and get there they gave our truck away and told us they had a 10 foot truck. We were moving our son to San Diego so needless to say he couldn’t take everything. Absolute disaster!
The truck had check engine lights ON. The fuel effeciency was also less than what i was guided. I was told 10mpg. But it was more like 6mpg highway miles for me. Had to refuel twice a total of 23 gallons for 150 miles for 20 ft truck. I returned the truck on time after hours yet it took whole 1 day for u-haul to document the return, in meanwhile i was being charged for next day rental those charges were eventu ally adjusted in my final settlement, but still it was painful to have returned the truck, and still getting reminders that I have not.

Employees never arrive on time when it's time to open. They arrive about 30 mins late, and this is not the first or second time that has happened to me taking action.
Just rude. And if you are closed, put up a sign. Or at least be humble to the customers. You will not get be getting any new businesses this way.
