UAMS Family Medicine Clinic

The customer service for this practice should be reviewed thoroughly. Their communication is lacking, especially during the transfer between All for Kids NEW: Special Health Resources. Those answering phones have not been educated properly on how to assist patients and/or parents. There has not been adequate training on how to handle this process with customers. In my experience, providing the front desk personnel with talking points or a script to assist them with specific instructions to give customers when they call can be helpful. This issue shows a lack of communication from top leader to bottom and should be addressed.

new patient trying to book an appointment called the 1st time lady gave me a pcp called connect care they couldn’t find the doctor. So I called them back a different person answered told him what was going on and gave him the doctors name he never even heard of the doctor he gave me sum fake number that doesn’t even work!

Horrible the doctors are good but the wait time is insane both appts took well over 2hrs this needs to stop i don’t even know how this is possible horrible service !!!

Had to see this APRN while admitted at UAMS. She is extremely concerned about patient going home, doesn’t listen or try to find out what is even wrong w the patient. Took it upon herself to cancel MD orders when main MD came around before she did. My family member that she discharged while still having extreme pain and VERY SPECIFIC symptoms returned to that same hospital ER approx 5 days later and was septic and was rushed to the operating room. I have never witnessed such poor care in all my years. She has horrible bedside manner and will actually chart bowel sounds and what an exam was like but never even took her stethoscope out so clearly falsifying information in a chart is beyond unacceptable. I am currently in the process of turning in all medical records and all pertinent information; including every note that she made in the chart, to the board that license this lady. I could be extremely ill at my worst and if this APRN came in, I would leave AMA bc I trust her ZERO!

Dr. Lopez-Gonzalez is a fabulous physician and very personable! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP in this area.

The thing that I dislike about UAMS family medical clinic is when you call you never received your call back they say 24 to 48 hours but sometimes you won't even hear back from them when you go in especially dealing with elderly people they switch up on the doctors half the time some of the doctors are never there the professionalism of really communicating with the family you don't get that you get a lot of what they're going to do instead of explaining to you and so I am basing this on my experience this has no other experience from nobody else but this is my personal experience I have been dealing with since a family member has been a patient there

I haven't really ever had a doctor that I felt cared about me and what I had to say in a long time, but this place is different. They really do care about their patients and listen to everything you have to say! I've seen Dr. Ren and Dr. King and they both are amazing

I generally don’t do reviews but TBH this place is getting a lot of hate so I figured I would. I started taking my son here a couple months ago and yes the wait times are a little long because they’re pretty busy, but they still take good care of my little guy and never seem distracted when they’re in with him or anything. They’re great with kids, very professional, kind, and really try their best, so I would recommend going here if you’re okay with a twenty minute or so wait to see the doctor

My mom is in the hospital and she has asked to go use the restroom about 5 times and no one has came and let her use the restroom. It’s been 24 hours. So I guess have fun cleaning the mess up in her bed. Worse service ever.

Patients KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!! This facility is in violation of act 311 you are guaranteed a spouse or advocate with you despite c19 PERIOD!! Many people don't know this and health care facilities are breaking the law, committing crimes and putting people at risk. Don't just read health department summary but the actual act 311... EVERYONE gets a visitor. We all know Drs and nurses and staff are more likely to neglect or abuse or downplay the severity of your situation without a witness. Report them to the health department, human resources and the attorney general or have your lawyer fine them. They have got to obey the law
