I went to Ulta in hopes to find a makeup that I would feel comfortable with and Angie with Bare Minerals in Fargo was amazing. She was very upbeat and she knew exactly what I was looking for. I have Rosacea and she matched my skin perfectly with a foundation and a moisturizer. Thank you Angie for your help and for being so kind and thank you to the other girls for being so kind
I visited about 2 weeks to a month ago, and the cashier was rude and very nonchalant when assisting me during check out. Not only was she talking over my shoulder to some of what I assume were her friends that were behind me, she also enrolled me in their rewards program even though I specifically said I didn't want to. Maybe if she was listening she would've heard me. I understand taking my name and phone number in case I want to return something, but I felt very singled out when she asked for my shipping address and other information that wasn't pertinent to the immediate check out process. Overall, I left very upset and disappointed and will likely not be returning.
The staff at Ulta Fargo are top tier. I had a small problem with an order and they went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed very quickly with smiles and sense of empathy. Everyone always makes me feel welcome and helps finding what I need before I even ask. Thanks Ulta friends! Keep kicking butt :
My daughter and I visited this store today and they would not leave us alone!! I don't know if the make commission, but we were asked no less than 20 times in the 20 minutes we were there if they could help. It was getting ridiculous and we finally left because we felt absolutely harassed. Go to Sephora, it's better there.
I was looking around for a bright pink eyeliner and I didn’t know which brand to choose from, when a nice lady approached me offering help. She was so sweet, her name is Cloud and she even looked in the back to make sure there was more inventory. In the end she helped me pick up a great shade of pink. Thank you for your help!
I went here my senior year of prom to get my hair done. I wanted pin-up curls because of how short my hair was, I told the stylist this and showed her multiple pictures, it seemed like she knew what she was doing..I ended up walking out with wavy hair, which was not holding by the time I got home. I ended up showering and re-doing everything, it ended up looking better than what she did
Today I went into the Fargo location, in hopes to find the perfect makeup for my wedding 09/10/2022. I explained to the SUPER SWEET Ulta Employee my face is dry/sometimes oily, but dry at the moment. She was very personable, kind and patient. But… She kept pushing her $49 Lancôme MATTE foundation. Which is an amazing brand/makeup for a natural look that I was going for. But, It was making me look so flaky. I didn’t appreciate that she was trying to make me feel like it was my fault and telling me to “hydrate twice daily” like I have time… and she also had me go exfoliate my face in the ulta bathroom…. I felt targeted when I just went in there to feel pretty and excited for my wedding day. I left with nothing and empty handed and had tears in my eyes upon leaving. I was there for two hours and only tried 2 different brands same matte formula. MAC & Lancôme, but 8 shades of the Lancôme matte foundation. Keep in mind she was applying these foundation on my face with ZERO moisturizer and zero primer. Her coworker eventually came over and even told her “Use moisturizer and primer.” Also…. For a color match, why are we even worrying about how the skin looks. You should find the closest color match, then worry about if we need matte or dewy. When I got to my car, I noticed I still had exfoliant on my face and she still had been putting foundation on my face after this. My skin is raw because she was using these rough cotton pads/literal Kleenex to wipe my skin with and she did this about 10-15 times over my entire face. I want to reiterate that she was very nice, and pleasant to be around. But don’t be so pushy about selling her products to reach her “numbers” if it doesn’t benefit the customer. I’ve spent $1,000s at this ulta alone, and will continue to do so. I will probably just avoid ever getting advice from employees there again.
Maisy did my brows at the benefit brow bar and they turned out awesome! Definitely book an appointment with her!
Ultimately, like so many businesses is still dealing with supply chain issues. They did not have my wife's favorite hairspray available and they have no idea when they might get it back in stock. They did provide a card with instructions to order online and the card provided free shipping regardless of price or quantity of product. So, that was nice, but still frustrating. Really like Ulta otherwise. They can't control supply chain. Just a sign of the times. Definitely will shop here again. Great customer service. Friendly staff, willing to help as best they can. Great selection of products. Will definitely shop here again!
This store is pretty low mid imho. There are equally as good of products being sold in town for better prices. I'd give it two stars, but the employees really seal the one star approach.
