Umami Ramen CDA

My son raves about Umami, so that's where we took my daughter for her birthday. My (adult) children are well versed in Asian fare, but me, not so much! Our waitress was so obliging, patient and helpful ~ explaining and describing the different ramen dishes. She answered each question I had, without hesitation, long-suffering and polite, through our departure. The food was fresh, each dish had a very distinct flavor (and delicious, as well!), presentation was nice, dining area and bathrooms were clean ~ the overall experience was great!!! Would definitely dine here again 😁 (unlike Ugly Fish, who's food made me horribly ill) ~

Excellent food, not great for solo dining. A pleasurable Japanese/modern atmosphere. One of the few places in CDA to get Ramune.

Great ramen and broth, good service. Selection was decent as well, will be going again.

The menu needs a layout makeover as the dishes lacked organization. Sides and appetizers lacked descriptions for the ignorant first timer (me). The pork bowls should probably be reinvisioned without belly fat pork as this made the bowls very greasy. A softer noodle would go better as they had a very starchy flavor and texture. Nicki the server was great!

Service was great, friendly and quick. The food was ok. The menu wasn't very descriptive. We miss Ugly Fish.
