Umami Sushi & Hibachi Grill

The prices are really high for what they give you and there are other hibachi restaurant selections that taste better and cost less. There is nothing eye-popping in the restaurant. The only thing it really has going for it is the fact the waiters and waitresses are kind. It isn't the worst in the world, but it definitely isn't good.

After a half hour at lunchtime no one came to take orders. Everyone in restaurant at the time got up and left not sure where workers were. Usually this is good place for lunch but last couple times they have staffing issues.

Very unfriendly waitress.. Tables were dirty ( she said she was busy, but no body was there ) then I ask for hot tea and she said she didn't have it ( how hard is to make a tea?? NOW THE FOOD ?? She took the order and then bought me salad ( I didn't ask for salad ) the menus said soup or salad, but she didn't ask. Well she leave the salad and tell.me I can have it and she would go get.me the soup.. the soup came, I was going yo eat the salad ( she told me if fine because she made the mistake not to ask me if I wanted soup or salad) well , she puts the soup on the table and she takes the salad back with out asking ( why she tell me u can have and then take away w8thout asking?? ) The miso soup was good and tasty I had sushi and sashimi ( the dish was not fresh , it look dry, old.. ( frozen) but sashimi and sushi roll. Overall I said this place it is a ZERO.. I would not come back here or tell others to go there. It was on Friday night at 9:30pm

Dine in, Monday, 4:44pm. Seated and served promptly. Ordered sweet potato roll, and Roll combination #2 (Spicy Tuna, Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Salmon) with Miso soup. 1) Miso soup was good 2) All the rolls on the roll combo looked the exactly the same 3) Fish was mushy and appeared frozen 4) Nori was very chewy/hard 5) Rice was not fresh 6) Sweet potato rolls were similar I would not recommend this place nor return there.

My daughter and I come here for special dinners. We get extraordinary sushi and fried rice with excellent service on the side.
