My husband brought me here as a surprise for my birthday last year, and what a surprise it was! We came for the sculpt-without-sight class. You're in for an exceptional, emotional, enjoyable and all around unique experience at Unarthodox. I had no idea what to expect when we walked in - it was a bunch of bald clay heads, folding chairs, smocks and dim lights. They have beer and wine for purchase, or you can stick with water or soda - it's all available. The music was probably the most moving, especially being blindfolded. I went in with a certain vision before putting on my blindfold, but as the music continued and I had to rely solely on my senses, it took me down memory lane and I ended up sculpting something entirely different. I am pretty sure I even cried at some point. I highly recommend this for everyone! It's definitely something worth experiencing at least once. I know I am definitely looking forward to going back again.
We recently had the pleasure of attending the “Sculpture Without Sight” event with the Unarthodox team, and it was an outstanding experience. Organizing an event for 13 people can be challenging, but the Unarthodox team & Tony specifically made it incredibly easy. They were super quick to respond, easy to talk to, and exceptionally easy to work with. The event itself was unique and engaging, allowing us to explore our creativity in a fun and unconventional way. Highly recommend this experience and the wonderful team behind it!
Booked Unarthodox for a private corporate event after attending one and I'm so glad I did. Outstanding service, great team, they really blew it out of the park. All of our clients had an amazing time. Hope to work together again!
My team had a great time at Sculpture without Sight. We did the private experience and found the event to be immersive and unique. Maria and Al were a pleasure to work with and made coordinating the event for our team simple and easy.
Came here with my coworkers group of 6 and we had a fabulous time at “Picture This”. I would highly recommend this spot for a company offsite activity, we created some great memories. Alex, Obie, Athena were amazing hosts, and I would definitely love to come back. I was not expecting snacks and drinks from Murray’s Cheese, so was pleasantly surprised. Not sure if that’s normal for every group!
I truly enjoyed the immersive art experience with blind sculpture in NY. It was a wonderfully sensual and meditative activity, allowing me to dive deep into myself and quiet my mind for 30 minutes while sculpting my own face. This experience was truly inspiring and a must-try! The staff were very nice and courteous, providing clear guidance throughout the process. They even took photos of all the attendees while we were sculpting with our masks on, which was a lovely touch. Although I was initially skeptical about this experience, it turned out to be a memorable one. I absolutely loved it!
HUGE thanks to Tony for setting up this wonderful "Sculpture Without Sight" event for our team! I really appreciate how our event hosts were so friendly & attentive, and they created a relaxing space for us to be creative. I heard nothing but positive feedback from my team & it was a great experience for everyone. Thank you so much!
I had a private event with Unarthodox on July 22nd! I had a birthday celebration there. This experience was a lot of fun and unique! I would recommend to book your parties with them! They are very responsive and help you with a questions and/or concerns you have. Thank you again for helping me celebrate my birthday!!
Cool concept - if you’re into touching clay without seeing it. My friends had a good time but this was honestly not my favorite nyc activity since I was antsy most of the time. The whole concept is to relax and blindly sculpt over-exaggerated parts of your face. However, I could not relax and every minute I was blindfolded felt so long - I guess I’m so used to seeing and taking pictures that I didn’t realize how uncomfortable I felt when blindfolded. On the other hand, my friends got their creativeness flowing and really gave their sculpture a personality while mine resembled a sad example of Voldemort. I would like to say I would probably do better next time but I think this is the type of experience you need to do once just to know how it’s like. I guess this activity was good in that it made me realize how important I feel for vision in my experiences. Tip: make sure you hang up your jacket, it will get dirty.
My team had an amazing time at Unorthodox, and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat! The space and experience were perfect for a large group 40 people, and Tony and the team were great to work with. Kudos to the team at Unarthodox, we can't wait to return!
