I’ve been waiting to try this Uncle Chip’s cinnamon bun for a very long time. Uncle chip can be seen from North Capitol road based on its teal color. I’ve seen many ads for the cinnamon bun. I’m thankful for experience. They have a friendly team and an AMAZING cinnamon bun. Off the charts. Highly recommend.

As a boutique business owner and event producer myself, my goal is to support other locally owners, small businesses as well. I’m so glad we found Uncle Chip’s Cookies! I can’t say enough about how amazing Shannon and her team were. I was panicked and they helped pull together a huge order for a client within a week. The cake cookies were absolutely delicious. I didn’t know what to expect and trusted that Uncle Chip’s knew what they were doing. We crushed a lot of cake cookies in a week. I would definitely recommend this bakery and order that yummy cake cookie! Thanks Uncle Chip’s for making this happen!

The cookies any of them are excellent! Word flies fast in the office when you’re sharing their cookies. I’ve gotten sandwiches as well and those are equally tasty. Fresh, quality ingredients and substantial. I typically get deliveries from here parking hard in DC and too far of a walk from the office. Delivery times clear and communication good.

We ordered about 30 boxed lunches through Uncle Chip's for delivery at an event and they were a huge hit! These were honestly some of the best boxed lunches I've had, delivery was very easy, and the packaging was so lovely featuring their signature teal color and the DC flag. The sandwiches all have such fun names on top of being absolutely delicious too - we had The Embassy of Turkey turkey, RIP James Gandolfini Italian, and Meet me in Malibu veggie. Will definitely be ordering from them again!!

Love this neighborhood gem hidden in the middle of the chaos that is North Capitol Street. Shannon and her team serve up a nice assortment of breakfast and lunch sandwiches/salads and baked goods. Sriracha special on an everything bagel always gets my morning off to a nice start. Don’t sleep on the cookies either — and save an oatmeal raisin for me! Vegetarian options: Lots of the menu items are vegetarian or can easily be adapted to vegetarian requirements. Kid-friendliness: Great stuff on the menu for kids. And if it’s nice, sit outside at the tables and chill out for a bit.

We absolutely love Uncle Chips, Shannon and her team are so lovely! And, cookies are delicious - the double chocolate and oatmeal raisin are favorites in our house. My personal favorite menu item is the Chicken Caesar salad - the Pecan Crunch is spectacular - and I love the option to do the sandwiches in a lettuce wrap.

When we lived in Brookland, I found every excuse to get over here for some cookies! Perfectly crunchy edges and chewy in the middle, the cookies have loads of flavor. The cinnamon buns are also excellent and worth a weekend splurge. We also regularly has the sandwiches. They're big and great to share. Saigon Sam is my favorite!

Uncle Chips, Friday! Our go-to lunch spot when teleworking. Sandwiches are awesome to split between two individuals and we order the salad to share for dinner. We have so many favorites to rotate through each week. Love the staff/owners. Please give them a try.

One my first discoveries relocating to DC. I am always on the lookout for a top cookie spot. I learned it is more than that. It is breakfast, lunch and small selection of baked goods and homemade beverages for decent prices in DC. It also, offers catering as well. It is a cultural icon as far as small businesses goes in a local black community. The food is pretty good quality, but more than that is the heart of the staff. My only complaint is the store hours. They are closed by 3pm.

Delicious bagel sandwiches & lunch. Everything always tastes fresh & generously filled. If you get a chance to try their cinnamon roll, don’t miss it — as big as ya head.
