Absolutely wonderful experience at USP over the past few years. Timely and helpful responses, everything is very buttoned up, and the Psych NP I've seen Michelle Freedland has been incredible in both talk therapy and medication management. I cannot recommend her and USP enough - and I have to several friends so far! I switched providers for a few months so that I could use insurance to cover the costs and it was a terrible experience which brought me back to USP. It's a shame they don't take insurance, but I understand not wanting to deal with a bureaucratic and corrupt system. Unfortunately good mental health care is very rare and very expensive.
This practice has one of the most realistic, down to earth, approachable styles I've ever come across. I have ADHD and keeping track of appointments has never exactly been my forte but I get reminders about upcoming appointments in such a timely fashion, their billing is done in a way that I can't possibly forget, the person I see is a DOLL and really takes the time to not only make sure my needs are met but really understand me. Above and beyond in a way that you don't see often. They are willing to work with me, and they accept me and see me for who I am while helping me in all aspects. Couldn't recommend them more.
We really took our time and did a huge amount of research to make sure we found the right practice for our child. It certainly paid off. Such amazing people. I have recommended them to many friends and they have all been just as impressed as I am. Extremely competent, caring, friendly people.
I started during the pandemic with video visits. I did not feel anything was different even though it was through a video feed. The person that they paired me with is spot on. The one thing to always remember is that therapy doesn't lead to results overnight. It takes time to break through and establish trusted boundaries and start delving into why I sought treatment. Joe DePaola is one of the best. If you can get onto his list of patients then you have taken the first step.
I have been a patient of Union Square Practice since its inception, and my experience has been consistently great. All administrative and logistical services work extremely smoothly: scheduling/changing appointments, getting medication refills and billing/insurance paperwork are easy, and response times for these services/requests are reliably fast. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Michael Dulchin is a fantastic medical professional. He is both deeply emphatic and highly analytical person, and he is equally good at diagnostic, psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic aspects of his work. Dr. Dulchin genuinely cares about his patients, and he is always reachable and helpful. He and Union Square Practice have provided me with the consistent support over the years, both on ongoing basis and in emergency situations.
It’s always a pleasure to interact with the staff of Union Square Practice. My doctor is Michael Dulchin and he has provided the best care for me imaginable. He is always a voice of reason for me during difficult times. We have been conducting our sessions over the Internet and these sessions provide the same excellent results as a visit in person. I do, however, look forward to seeing Dr. Dulchin in person again as soon as current Covid situations are resolved. I would encourage anyone seeking helpful, kind, logical support to consider using Union Square Practice.
I had a wonderful experience with my therapist at Union Square Practice and would recommend it to anyone in search of a comprehensive, kind approach to talk therapy. Thank you USP!
I've been dealing with depression and PTSD for decades. I'm lucky to have found Union Sq Practice. I tried 3 diff therapies there: CBT, Meds and talk therapy. I really liked all 3. Could be friends! And the results were amazing. I'm doing great now for the first time in about 30 years.
I can't speak on behalf of Charles' experience, but I've received excellent care from Union Square Practice. My calls and e-mails are always returned within the half an hour and I never feel that I can't get a hold of my clinician even on weekends. I've been in therapy for over a decade, and these are the most talented clinicians I've worked with. They've helped me tremendously come to terms with a diagnosis and work on a successful treatment plan. I've been a patient for going on 4 years and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. USP has a very unique approach to practicing that is very refreshing and extremely helpful. I'm grateful for all their help!
Katie has been the best! I am glad I was recommended this practice. going to therapy here has been such a help to me
