I needed to get an inspection done, and they’re in my neighborhood. I called, and they gave me an appointment for the next day. I got there & it was super easy. The staff was great. 10/10 experience. I’ll be going to them for everything from here on out.
Excellent service and reasonable prices. My car needed several repairs all of which were done at a reasonable price and very quickly.
If you need a vehicle inspection in NYC this is the place to go. They take appointments so that you don’t have to show up and wait like other places. Inspection takes <15 minutes and everyone there is professional.
The person on the phone was nice and gave me helpful advice, which solved my problem. I didn't need to bring my car in at this time. I'm grateful. :
I had a great experience at United Auto - quality service, great communication throughout repair and fair. Highly recommend.
Great service. Reasonable prices. Car had to be towed to repair starter, done even though shop was busy. Professional service.Service: General repairs & maintenance
I have been a customer of this Upper Eastside garage since moving to the neighborhood over 3 cars and twenty years ago. Matt and Tommy are totally solid guys. They are extremely busy, fair, and honest. I hate even bringing my car to the dealership, as I would rather just bring it to them. I’ve seen it before… if you go in with an attitude… you won’t have the same experience as mine.Services: Oil change
We are highly pleased with the professional manner and service we received from your garage. You have definitely gained a new customer who will recommend United Auto Repair!!
I wish I could give a ZERO star. By far the worst automotive experience I've ever had. I called ahead to ask if my Mini Cooper could be serviced and was pleasantly surprised when I was told to bring it right in. The person who I was speaking to on the phone seemed welcoming. When I arrived, this same person THE OWNER was completely different. He did not even greet me and disregarded my presence as I awkwardly awaited to get his attention. I'm assuming my dark brown skin and turban did not fit the status quo of this Upper East Side hole in the wall. He then told me that my double parking was horrible and that I needed to adjust to get closer to the other cars to make way for him to pull other cars out. I did just this. When he maneuvered all of the vehicles there was still one left that was blocking half of the entryway into the shop. He told me to pull my car in, even though there was clearly NO SPACE. I asked him if he could move the car over a bit so that I didn't have to go up onto the sidewalk to enter his shop. His response: "You can go get your oil changed someplace else. This is too much work". I then asked for his name before I pulled off and he shoved his hand in the air as a response. I'm assuming he thought MY VOICE didn't matter. I know I was speaking to the owner because he told me that much earlier in our short dialogue. I do believe his name is Mike but I could be wrong. Nothing good comes from treating folks poorly and I'm sure his shop will see the consequences of this soon enough. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE BUT ESPECIALLY NOT PEOPLE OF COLOR. SPEND YOUR MONEY AT ESTABLISHMENTS THAT RESPECT YOU AND/OR AT LEAST TREAT YOU AS A HUMAN BEING.
Great professional and efficient place for NYS vehicle inspections.
