I am pretty familiar and comfortable around computers I upgraded the CPU and ran into some issues called this company for quote on diagnostic and was told it could run up to $100 to just run diagnostic and take up to a 5 days before they could even get to it, so that quote didn't include repair cost or replacements the person on the phone then started listing other computer parts they would have to check out as well, and personally felt like there's a price jump because I used the words "gaming" desktop. Called a competitor, explained the same issue and quoted only $25 to do diagnostics and they could have it back to me by tomorrow. Took computer into competitors. They were able to diagnose it on the spot and quoted cost to fix which was lower than the cost to do a diagnostic by these guys and still get back to me by tomorrow. Edit: bumping up 1 star got a call back they were professional asked if they could have done anything different and offered to do diagnostic at discount relayed I already got my problem taken care of.

I've been working with Universal Computers to get my Surface fixed. Throughput the process we have looked at different options. They have been great to work with and have provided helpful insight. I woukd highly recommend them.

I came to Universal Computers in Bountiful after being told by another local place that the hard drive to my old laptop was dead and that I had lost all my data. I really needed my files because they were for my business. The people at Universal Computers were not only ABLE to get my data from my hard drive but the gentleman there spent quite a bit of time patiently educating me and helping me clean up my files on my computer. I loved my experience there. They really know what they are doing. They are fairly priced for what they do and you will walk away feeling like this place appreciates your business. I would recommend this great company to anyone who has any kind of computer need.

Extremely helpful. I needed a wireless card in a pinch and when i arrived he brought out 5 different options that varied in price and performance and explained each of them in detail. Comparatively other shops i could only order what i needed with a 1-2 week wait. This business is a great example of why it is important to shop locally. I will definitely return and i highly recommend coming here for any computer related needs.

Five Stars! I had some issues with backing up all the data and files on my Mac. I was worried I had lost many files. Universal Computers went above and beyond. They replaced my hard drive and even had to buy special tools in order to get to my hard-drive, and didn't even charge me for the cost of the tools. These guys know what they are doing. My Mac is back in my hands in perfect condition. They also took time to educate me on proper security and virus protection best practices. I'd recommend to anyone!!

I highly recommend this company! They went above and beyond to consolidate data from my recently crashed desktop, and files from previous computers. Dave even saved a very old computer program that a previous company told me was unsavable, so I can use it again! Excellent trustworthy company, and knowledgeable service. You can trust them with all your precious pictures, files, and data. Dave went above and beyond to build me a cutting-edge, long lasting tower. Installing the programs I needed, including an automatic external backup drive. I wanted to leave a five+star review sooner, but I've been very ill.
