While University Pointe is conveniently located and has wonderful skyline views and sufficient apartment amenities for single young adults, the challenges are significant. When the elevators are down, which is often, it requires hiking up to 14 floors, depending on where your apartment is located. This is a current condition! The elevators have been in some state of disrepair or complete disablement through most of this term! Moreover, the lower walls around the elevator and through the halls are missing both the insulation and the finished wallboard. This exposes the interiors of the walls and any leftover insulation to the open air. There are electrical hazards sitting in the halls. The management has failed to notify residents of these abnormalities and failed to offer any public or private notifications of when and how these problems will be effectively addressed and resolved. This gross mismanagement of a building that charges exorbitant monthly rental fees is simply untenable. There should be a class action lawsuit by the residents to recover some portion of rental fees due to the adverse conditions that management has left residents to deal with without active efforts and good faith intent to rectify.
Three of my friends and I took a tour this afternoon on a whim and we had the most amazing tour guide, Shelly Espinosa! We’re students at PSU looking into living at University Pointe next year. The apartment rooms are staged so perfectly. We couldn’t have had a better tour, thanks to Shelly, who gave us all the information we could’ve needed and answered all the questions we had.
They kept my deposit when I moved out even thought it was in writing that they would honor it and pay it back. There would be smoke coming from the air vents which were connected between various apartments, and when you reported it they wouldn’t do anything to stop it. They over charge and as others have said charge extra for everything they possibly can. I am surprised this company is still in business. As others have stated, it’s amazing they haven’t been sued. And I find it interesting and suspect that all the positive reviews are merely from people who toured the place. They lay it on thick and do everything they can to sell it to you, but don’t live up to their promises. I’ve always regretted living here.
Lauren was great! She gave a fantastic, engaging tour. She really showed how excited she is to live at up and elevated all my parents fears about me moving out. 10/10 I can’t wait to move in
Sophia was extremely thorough and respectful as my group took a long tour throughout the viewable apartments. Her ability to walk backwards and give information was impressive and propelled the tour to keep moving forward in a good way!
Cambria at the front desk has always been extremely helpful & professional! She always goes above and beyond to help residents with any issue they may be having and leads every interaction at the front desk with kindness and compassion
