Discreet, privy, intimate, understated, hearty - 5 words I’d use to describe our dining experience here. I love that they are growing their own produces, properly prepared farm-to-table style, community-supported agriculture arrangements. Food sustainability, traceability and nutrition are important to me. I found that distinctive tasting menu for each day is refreshing. Antiquated dining interior feels very vintage, charming scene on the outside too. Notorious for their variety of pasta dishes & succulent herbaceous flavors. Worth checking out with your loved ones
I recently visited Uno Tre Otto with my girlfriend and had a fantastic experience. We started off with the Roasted Beets and Crudo, which were both beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. The Tagliatelle, a pasta dish with clams, was also delicious. The Seasonal Fish and Bistecca were standout dishes, both cooked to perfection and with unique and flavorful tastes. The service was good, although it did take a while to receive our cocktails, but they were worth the wait. To finish off the meal, the Bread Pudding was a delightful dessert. Overall, the prices at Uno Tre Otto were reasonable for the high-quality food and drinks we received. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
Uno Tre Otto came highly recommended so my expectations were high. From reservations to every aspect of their food, it was fabulous. We just had appetizers and then were too full to go on. The blend and balance of flavors and textures created a culinary treat I wanted to pick up the bowl of leftover Manila clam juices and just drink it, but my mother would have had a heart attack so I just sopped it up with their fresh homemade bread WOW
Overall impressions: "Uno tre otto was pretty dang good." "What's going on, how come everything tastes so good?" Wow that place was good. For appetizers, we got Amy's salad, fettunta, bluefin tartare, and panzanella. All were perfect - small, light, fresh. Then we got casarecce twisty pasta and rigatoni. Both were really good too, rigatoni was possibly slightly tastier due to it having more flavors tomato garlic basil. I was surprised how good the milanese was - usually the breaded pig or chicken that I get is really rubbery or soggy, but this was evenly breaded, the meat was of uniform thickness, and it was perfectly crispy and oily. The cod was small but so tender, and cod evenly balanced out the vibrant roast fennel puree it's strong, but that was fine with me. The thin strips of fried leek were a pleasant surprise - I could eat those as a snack. Butterscotch budino was delicious salted caramel is amazing, and something that has been on their menu for two years. We are outside under a tent that covered 6 small tables. It felt rustic, intimate, unassuming. Inside, it was pretty small and dark. The decor felt charming. Lots of wood. The kitchen is small, the plates stores behind slatted wooden doors. The bathroom was unique: the stall doors and door handle seemed old and flimsy, but in a charming way. The bathroom doors were also really unique with their male/female signs. It was really nice, but personally, I prefer to sit outside in the fresh air. So good that it is worth considering for an upcoming wedding dinner.
I have been at this restaurant in the middle of August of 2021! The meal, that I have ordered was quite delicious. The place looked decent and welcoming. The waitress, that served my table, was friendly, welcoming, and polite. Nevertheless, the prices are on the expensive side. So, I would only recommend this place for people, who have disposable cash. Overall, I have a positive experience in this place. Thus, when I will have disposable cash, I will definitely this restaurant, again!
Birthday dinner in the Claremont Village! Flat Iron steak and Halibut w/prawns did not disappoint. The intimate setting was just as appealing as much as the food was delicious.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
This place is a gem. Funky atmosphere with absolutely perfect food. Solid service as well. Our server, Jamie, made excellent wine and food recommendations. The menu is creative and varied. The food was prepared and presented to perfection. The farm to table concept means that the produce is harvested each day and the menu changes with what is seasonally and daily available. I love that I could go back and have completely different options, but I am confident that absolutely anything I ordered would be excellent. Vegetarian options: This is a farm to table restaurant with produce harvested each morning. Dishes are veggie forward with a number of vegetarian and pescetarian options. Amy's mix salad was fabulous. The kale pesto rigatoni was also delicious.
Uno Tre Otto is a very nice place to dine for a special occasion. The dining room and kitchen are basically one room. It's a mostly wooden room, like an old pub. The room has a high ceiling and a good, comfortable vibe. The food is delicious, farm to table freshness. There are a number of appetizers, and then you have three pasta and three meat dishes to choose from. Each dish is served ala carte. The portions aren't huge, so the expectation is that each person will order a pasta and a meat dish. This reminds me of the multi-course meals I enjoyed at my Italian grandparents house when I was a kid. The dish pictured in my review is a poached cod with roasted fennel puree. The red slices on top are crispy garlic. It was great. They have a pretty good selection of wines, though no Spumante. There were at least three bottled beers to choose from. I really liked the Saison. I'm gluten free nowadays, so I wasn't able to order a pasta dish to go with my poached cod, and was still a little hungry afterwards. It would be great if they had one rice or potato dish, but it's pretty traditional Italian, so I don't expect that. I'm sure if you order a pasta and a meat dish like you're supposed to, you'll be satisfied. I look forward to eating here again.
Mixed review. I'll start with the service was fine, and our server was sweet. The setting was very warm, even if you sat outside in the cold thanks to the heaters. That's being said, if you want to pay for a concept, this is your place. If you want a meal, maybe skip it. You are encouraged to buy your meal based on courses, making the portions very small. For a high-scale and farm-to-table establishment, I would expect the dishes to be well seasoned, but they lacked balance and salt. Lastly, maybe not all people eat with knives, but I do. A person shouldn't have to wait for their main presumably third course to get a knife. Again, cute place if you want to show off what you have in the bank, but not for filling your stomach.
this place is like no other definitely a vibe that I felt like as if though I was in a different hole part of another country, it was absolutely breathtaking and delicious. We celebrated a friends birthday this evening. The food was absolutely delicious, the octopus with the mussels and the pasta that was homemade and the steak and the pork chops. Absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this air this place, if you would like a different dining experience, feeling like as if you’re in a whole another place to go
