I have been to this practice twice now and I would highly recommend it! Both visits I was taken back very quickly with minimal wait. I saw Dr. Joy Ko during my last visit and she was the absolute best. She explained everything she was seeing to me and was so kind and thorough. The front desk and dental hygienists have also always been extremely friendly and efficient. Thank you so much for the wonderful care!
Such a great experience seeing Dr. Ko today. She is so thorough, patient, and informative and walked me through every part of the exam and x rays. I really appreciate that my appointment wasn’t rush and I didn’t have to wait at all to be seen. The hygienists and receptionists are kind and helpful as well and it couldn’t have been easier.
THE BEST DENTIST OFFICE ON THE UES! As a person who doesn’t like going to the dentist, this office goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and relaxed. The facilities are clean and well taken care of, the staff is friendly and caring and the office is efficient and timely. They make going to the dentist a breeze rather than a chore!
I had an okay experience. My first dental cleaning with Dr. Koi was in May 2022. The experience with Dr. Koi was fine. However, when I checked out, the front desk staff was aloof. I scheduled my 6-month follow-up for December 2022. On the day of my appointment, I was told I didn't have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Koi and couldn't accommodate me. Costumer service is essential, and unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience.
Love this place! I always have a great experience. Just had to get a cavity filled and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes! Super quick and painless. Staff is so sweet and friendly. Thank you, Upper East Smiles!
It was a very good experience for my cleaning - the hygienist saduia was very patient with me and very thorough - so was doctor ko as well - upper east smiles is very lucky to have both of them there for sensitive patients like myself -
The dental hygienist provides the best cleaning, thorough and consistent with every visit. I am happy with the cleaning. Dr. Loretta checks the health of my teeth and mouth, and gives easy to understand feedbacks on each checkup. And, the front staff, always, great customer service. I highly recommend UESmiles.

I wish I had found this dentist office earlier! I have had a lot of bad experiences with dentists in NYC but Dr. Joy Ko is amazing. She doesn’t push any procedures that are not necessary and explains everything clearly. All staff is very competent and kind.
I work in the medical field- and with that perspective I’m confident to say that this is one of the most detailed practitioners I’ve ever seen- Dr. joy Ko is SO lovely. Detailed, professional, and took the time to explain everything. I am generally apprehensive to see the dentist and she really eased me. Great experience!!
