Attending the Cognizant Founders Cup LPGA professional golf tournament at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, NJ was an outstanding experience. Upper Montclair Country Club is an amazing location for a golf event. LPGA players in the Cognizant Founders Cup and their teams are extremely talented and watching the connectivity between players, coaches, and caddies was impressive. This was my first time attending a professional golf tournament. Attending the Saturday before the final day was a great decision because maneuvering around the course, meeting players and their teams as well as enjoying all the facilities at the course was seamless. Staff, Managers, Administrators, Members, of UMCC your location is a diamond. The LPGA and UMCC teams executed this event exceptionally well. Now I have to find a way to take golf lessons at UMCC because now I want to play!!!!
Most beautiful country club to have any event. The staff treated us like gold and the food was amazing! My sisters bridal shower was a picture perfect day.
We had a great experience that for a 90th birthday party. Our server was extremely attentive and very efficient, catering to all our needs in a very expedited fashion. Highly recommended venue with excellent food.
Neatly intertwined course layout...easy to get lost but holes are clearly labeled...if it is your first time playing here use a caddie or app to navigate the round and have fun. Some very unique holes packed with daunting challenges that give you a feeling of satisfaction to conquer and make par... definitely worth it

This is an establishment that prides itself on a tremendous guest experience. Whether you are a Member or event guest, UMCC will surely surprise and delight. I stand behind this property as I am the current Catering Director. While many of these recent '1 star' reviews are clearly fictitious and defaming of my associates, they are laughable at best. Anyone who has been here firsthand would agree and also be privy to our closure in January each season making void all faulty reviews in 2020. This crew, especially my associate Joe, are some of the hardest working people around. I am proud to be part of such a great team of true professionals who strive for excellence each day.
I cannot recommend UMCC enough for hosting an event. Megan is the most wonderful coordinator: she was so professional, kind, and helpful person when we planned our wedding reception. The food is incredible, the service is top tier, and our guests loved every second of our wedding : Thank you UMCC!!!!
Forgot to take pics of the delicious pasta dishes, appetizers and dessert that others had. All of the food was excellent and sushi was very fresh.
The location is easy to get to from NYC or Northern NJ. The courses are in impeccable shape. The LPGA has a tournament here and I have all my catering done here because the food is Amazing. The Menus, the Specials, the Events, the quality and preparation is outstanding. The service is professional and friendly. The Bars are outstanding and did I mention 27 holes of exceptional GOLF.
I was a member at UMCC for 4 years and had great memories of the food and staff. I was there this time for a golf outing and was looking forward to my previous great experiences. The course was awesome as I remembered. Our Caddy was new and not experienced. When it came to Lunch, the hot dogs and bergers were cold. The beverage folks stationed around the course were great. My complaint is the catering people and dinner portion of the outing. They barely came out with enough appetizers to pass around. The outside area was split by the bar and half the room was like being a second class citizen. Only half the tables had linens. The food was sparse and not being changed out quick enough. The worst part is there did not appear to be a manager around to check on things. They ran out of plates with a huge line and no one to get them. Very disappointed in the dinner.
