Uptown Arts & Bar LLC

We were there for an event. The bartender carded my husband for a Sprite. Then asked him why he was in there, like he didn't belong. It really made us feel uncomfortable and soured our night. I don't know what kind of customers they are used to, but considering we didn't cause any trouble and were paying for the drink I'm just gonna go ahead and assume it was racial. I don't know any other reason why she would need to run his ID for a soda AND ask him why he was there...."to enjoy the night like everyone else in there!" But I guess that's too much to ask nowadays.

It was a blast sharing my musical ideas at Uptown. Great venue for all ages, styles, genres regardless of whether you sing without playing an instrument or vice versa, playing an instrument without singing, or both. Some people are very talented with their vocal cords and their guitar chords.. :-)

Out for jungle, got some dubstep beats at the end love the venue, reminds me of skylounge in phx, good time super friendly crowd.

Cheep drank and good times in the theater room. The open mic on Monday nights at 9 is worth seeing. They have a 2nd floor porch out back and gender neutral bathrooms.

Met friends at the Arts Bar. Poets recited their works - quite a varied set accompanied by band members interpreting the poems. I enjoyed diverse poetry styles within the casual atmosphere!
