I love Uptown Dermatology! I have been a client for years and can honestly say that I look forward to my appointments here. Dr. Mullans, Yvette, and Allison are so warm and welcoming. Appointments are taken on time, and more often than not they send you home with a "goodie bag" of free skin products. Dr. Mullans herself is a very thorough clinician and makes sure to address any concerns you may have. If you need an excellent dermatologist, look no further than Uptown Dermatology!
Dr. Mullans is super helpful and clearly very knowledgeable about skin! She has been wonderful to go to for all of my skin issues
I absolutely love Dr. Mullins and Yvette. They are both so nice and welcoming. Dr. Mullins is great at explaining options and asks Yvette for input which I really like. It feels like we’re a team in regards to my healthcare as opposed to a doctor just making decisions unilaterally.
As a new patient, I had a great experience at Dr. Mullins office! Dr. Mullins is very thorough and thoughtful. Her nurse and office staff are very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this practice!
I couldn't agree with Kayla D. more. Dr. Mullans and her nurse are absolutely fantastic; however, Allison is wretched. I am new to Houston and was very pleased to find such a fantastic doctor so close to where I live. After my first visit, I made a follow up appointment, which I unfortunately had to cancel and successfully did so. I was unable to reschedule because I started a new job and didn't know when I would be available. Allison took it upon herself to reschedule for me and left me a voicemail. I do not check my voicemail on a regular basis and therefore never received her message she also left a reminder, but once again, I don't check my voicemail. A month goes by and I receive a letter saying I've been charged a late fee for a no show. Absolutely confused by the situation considering I never made a new appointment, called and Allison said there was nothing she could do for me. I repeatedly informed her I never consented or verbally made the new appointment; however, according to Allison, "she does this all the time", which I guess means its OK. I have never been treated so rudely at a doctor's office. I highly recommend you look elsewhere.
I have been a patient for about 20 years, since college. Appointment times are always flexible around my schedule, I get all of my questions answered without feeling rushed, and Dr. Mullans is very professional and thorough. I only need to see her once or twice a year, but treats me and my wife like family. She is always very enthusiastic about helping my medical conditions and offers multiple options, allowing me to participate in the treatment. Her nurse Yvette is amazing, love visiting with them both. I wish all Dr visits were this pleasant and productive.
Have never been here this review is solely based on the online purchase that I have made. It has been 3 weeks since there was no shipping update on my order and still on pending while they charge my card with no problem at all. I have contacted them Via email 3 times of three different occasions and they never replied. I have called them in their office but never answered and just direct you to their voice-mail. Now, I am left to dispute it on my Bank, they act as if they live internationally, whilst I have ordered things internationally who have responded me and have shipped things appropriately. Disappointed. Never again.
I had such an amazing experience today! It was my first appointment with Dr. Elizabeth Mullins. My primary care doctor had recommended her, but I had no idea what to expect. I needed to have my skin biopsied to check for possible, autoimmune disease. When I entered her office, Allison greeted me by name! I was EXPECTED! The nurse, Yvette, was so kind. From the minute she introduced herself, she was already helping push my wheel chair to escort me into a nearby room. The room was spacious, bright and clean with a nice view. Before my appointment time, Dr. Mullins entered the room, introducing herself as "Elizabeth Mullins." She had a huge smile and immediately came near me to sit down and talk. She kept eye contact the entire time and repeated back the things I shared so I knew she was really listening. I am a patient with a very complicated medical history, but she had reviewed my paperwork and didn't seem a bit intimidated by my rare diseases. The biopsies were very easy. She was extremely gentle and I felt like she had no other patients with the attention I received. Because this visit was my first solo outing in 10 months, she gave me a bag of samples to "celebrate!" Dr. Mullins and Yvette walked me to the front desk and even shared my celebration details with Allison. My visit felt to me like I had spent an hour with close friends. I go to A LOT of doctors and they are never like today's visit. I just left there wanting to tell everyone about my experience! Dr. Mullins even offered to have Yvette push my wheel chair all the way down 2 floors, through their building and to the end of the parking lot where I had parked my car. She even lifted my chair into my trunk. I was so grateful for the help as my first outing was rather exhausting. But, talk about SERVICE! If you need a dermatologist in Houston, Texas, please treat yourself to genuine kindness, home town compassion and a small, personable practice at Uptown Dermatology! Dr Mullans is exceptional no doubt. To dispute about Allison: New insurance plan - she worked with Blue Cross before I arrived, and for over 30 minutes trying to get things straight with fault on them. She explained all things in detail. Many Dr's impose fees for changing appointments too short notice etc, so I am used to that across the industry. I always set calendar reminders to double check and confirm with receptionists to prevent $ mishaps. Nobody is perfect and tone goes both ways. Plus, they were also the ONLY dermatologist that could see me the same month for she does not over book. My prior Derm office in bellaire made me a "new patient" from not seeing them in 3 years & i can only see the assistants/Drs booked til the next month. Mullans has the same experience as other big players. Very clean to standards.
I wouldn’t recommend going to this office, if the patient has a balance in favor, they will never call you to give you the money back, but if you don’t show up to an appointment they will make sure they charge you. Don’t expect to receive remainder phone calls for appointments. Basically here you are on your own and everything is patient responsibility.
