Uptown Trading Gifts

This Uptown Trading Gifts (209 Broadway, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965) is a very nice gift and novelty items shop in the Wisconsin Dells. They have good quality items including handmade collectibles, jewelry, toys, collectibles, and much more. Items are nice quality at reasonable prices. The store is very clean and organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No bathrooms in the stores but, no stores in this area have bathrooms, there is a central bathroom for the area down the street about two blocks away. I recommend you visit this store.

The staff of this place make it an unfriendly place and a place of shame. They (two female attendants) did not speak at all upon our entering the store. One of the attendants barely raised her head & then tried to secretly followed us & ran back to her seat when we saw her : shameful, but funny. Of course, we did not spend one penny due to that behavior & attitude. The best part about it was the entertainment that her poor behavior presented ! We left laughing at them , but then felt sorry for them & I thought that it may help to place this post as we were the only customers in the store: But which came first; that behavior or the lack of customers ? My sincere advice to that store owners - as I too have been a business owner before- is get it together for a better business. If you want to follow customers in the store, raise your head first , get up, & at least pretend that you are assisting them & maybe even crack half a smile to express that customers really are welcome . The sneakiness is just plain weird & rude & on some levels, funny. There are many more stores just like yours all up & down the strip that almost pull the customers in with a smile & actually had more customers than you all did & the sneaking around behind their customers just did not take place. Get some cameras if you have that much concern for theft & by all means, do some training !

we stopped at a couple places before this and couldn't find what we needed but when we stopped here we got exactly what we wanted. Great selection and friendly staff that helped us and we were able to check out quickly. Cool store

We have shopped here everytime we visit the Dells. The last time was two years ago and there was a mishap with my purchase. I went in this year and explained what happened and the owner quickly remedied the sitation beyond my expectation!! This is a perfect example of why I only shop small businesses if at all possible! A chain store would have immediately dismissed my issue. This is a fun, reliable gift shop with a great selection!
