Urban Chislic

Saw the triple d episode then had to check it out when we were in Sioux Falls. Had a great time and really enjoyed the food. Went there on opening Sunday for nfl and they had all the games on. I tried the featured sandwich on triple d and it was amazing. Friendly staff made it a great visit.

Great little place. Was featured on Diner's Drive-ins and Dives, and for good reason. I had the Chislic Philly with fries, and the wife had the Chislic Nachos. Both had lamb, and were really delicious, and filling. The price tag was also very reasonable. The only complaint I'd have was they seemed a bit under staffed, and to us, the place wasn't too busy. So, the 1/2 hour of sitting at our table before making a food order seemed excessive but we at least we had our drinks. The waitress did keep telling us, that she'd be right back to take our order after she did this or that. Overall, a great place that you should check out if you have the time.

Amazing little place, and the server I had was best, she was very helpful in my decision on what eat and she had smile that made you smile!

Saw this place on DDD, so wanted to try it out. I was not impressed. Apparently chislic is not my thing. The sauce was tasty, but the beef was a bit dry, and the whole thing was a bit pricy for a little bowl of meat and a handful of French fries. I was still hungry at the end of my meal.

Absolutely wonderful food and great service. We will definitely go back when we are in Sioux Falls.

I was very much looking forward to going to this restaurant. I never had chislic before. I can honestly say, we will never be back again. The place wasn't busy. Service was slow. I ordered the Bbq messy bowl and my SIL had the stir fry, which tasted weird and was inedible. She reordered and got the bbq messy bowl as well. Unfortunately, it took 20 minutes to get the meal. I had finished my meal and she still hadn't gotten her meal yet. I asked for a manger and was informed that no manager was there. They did nothing and we waited a while longer until she got her meal. Of course, we were surprised at the price of the meal. We paid over $20 each for a meal and pop that was below subpar, slow service and a huge delay on food. If you want a good chislic meal with great service, we suggest you do not go to Urban Chislic.

Poor vegetarian options, I subbed my burger for veggie patty. I either got a beef burger or a very convincing imitation patty! Honestly pretty small burgers. $30 for 2 of us. Fun atmosphere though. Would bring the non vegetarians in my family back again.

I usually love this place. I was charged a beer on my to go order once. I didn't notice until I got home. What I usually get is 4 regular lambs with uc fries/coin fries. I was charged for just regular chislic not lamb and a beer. So the price ended up totaling out the same as it usually does so I didn't notice. Until I looked at the food. The fact that there not bringing UC Fries/coin fries back is a bummer. Chislic is awesome!

Tried UC for the first time. The Tai Chili style Chislic was amazing. Great taste and good heat. The inhouse made coleslaw was tasty as well. The pick your own chislic was a little of a let down. Chislic comes plain with sauces cold on the side. I would prefer to have the sauce on the Chislic and cooked with the sauce on it. Just like wings... right!!

My son lives here & he said that he had eaten there couple years ago and the food was not very good. We got a gift certificate so decided to try it again. Got takeout right before closing. Got there & could see take out order in window. Waitress said it would be a few minutes because she was waiting on the drive-through and other customers. Waited 15 min. $57 for 3 meals. We got double serving of lamb, fish and chicken. They closed as I left. SO disappointing. Lamb & chicken were tough & chewy. Fries and potatoe rounds were way too salty. Seasoning on mixed veggies too strong. Next day I took back the lamb and chicken to show that we hadn't been able to eat them. Got same waitress. She didn't care to look at the food, just said she'd be right back. Came back and said that she called the owner and the owner said there'd been too long a delay since we ordered the food they were closed! so they refused to do anything. No real apology either. NEVER again.
