Urban Landworks

Totally impressed with Urban Landworks! We had a completely unusable backyard with major drainage issues. We had several landscape contractors look at our backyard and Urban Landworks was the only company who were able to correctly address the drainage issues we had going on. We also decided to have them add a boulder wall and a paver patio to make our backyard more usable. The quality of work was absolutely amazing! I would like to thank Mike and his amazing crew for all their hard work and for doing a fantastic job on our backyard project. I would totally recommend this company and will be using them for any landscape projects I may have in the future.

Urban Landwords was great to work with. Mike one of the owners came out to my residential home in Bloomington, and we walked around to talk about what we were looking to do to improve the look of our home. After our first meeting we went to Gertens and picked out our plantings which was about 60-70 plants and one dwarf tree. He also helped us picked out our mulch and landscaping edging. As a final touch that really makes our home stand out is the 6 limestone boulders that he put throughout our landscaping that really makes the curb appeal pop. I would highly recommend Urban Landworks for any landscaping needs.

Had a great experience with Urban Landworks! We had some massive drainage problems with our back sidewalk, causing water to accumulate in our basement. We moved forward with Urban Landworks once we saw their portfolio, how they explained what they could do, provided recommendations, and how willing they seemed to work with us. We ended up having our steps and sidewalk poured with cement, front and back, as well as adding a beautiful cobblestone paver patio. The work was very professional and done very timely. In one week they were able to tear everything out and install new. It has been a fantastic place for our kids to play and ride their bikes around. When we had any questions or problems, they were quick to respond. Mike and Matt were genuine, down to earth people to work with and are very passionate about what they do every day. We would highly recommend this outfit for anyone's landscaping needs as we are planning to in the future.

We purchased a house at the end of last year and Urban Landworks had completed some landscaping in July. The beautiful landscaping is part of what sold us on the house. Therefore, we are very disappointed to have experienced several issues with the stonework. Since Dec., at least 30 steps have come loose due to the way they were installed with too large of an overhang and lack of adhesive. We often have to warn our guests to be careful on the stairs – not ideal! Our mailman has started propping up the loose stones to let us know when yet another one needs to be secured. We are very fortunate that nobody has gotten hurt. Ironically, the stones my husband who is not a professional landscaper has secured appear to be fine. In addition to the stones constantly coming loose, they are also crumbling. The deterioration may be from the pet friendly/no slat ice melt product that was used. We did talk with another landscaping company who indicated that the stones are not the best choice for MN winters. According to the Urban Landworks, the previous homeowners insisted on using this stone. If that is truly the case, I cannot fault them for this issue but wonder why they are even offering this stone as an option if it cannot withstand MN winters. We have reached out to Urban Landworks several times about the stones continually coming loose and not once have they addressed the issue. In the latest communication we asked that they look at the steps and give us a fair quote for replacing them. The response from Mike one of the owners was that they were too busy and booking into next year. It was clear from his message that he was not going to make any attempt to address the issues we’ve encountered. I then followed up to tell him that they didn’t need to be replaced this year and if he wasn’t willing to look at them, I was going to submit a review online and to the BBB. His response was that I was threatening him and he was going to file a complaint about me. I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with given that all I have asked for is that he address the company’s poor quality work by providing a fair quote to replace stairs that were installed 1 year ago. Bottom line is that I hope to save others the hassle of dealing with this company.

Urban Landworks is FANTASTIC!!! I can't say enough about this company! The attention paid to details is incredible! I hired them this year to take care of my lawn. I don't have the time anymore and knowing that all as I have to do is water and cut it has taken a load off of my mind. I come home and a little sign is in my yard so I know they have been there. This was my first year with a lawn care service and I was so pleased, that I just resigned for 2016. Plus, I gave my son and his new wife a house-warming gift of lawn care service for the 2016 season as well! My son and daughter-in-law were thrilled and what a wonderful, easy gift to give!
