This place gets 1 star for one reason only, the constant, disgusting use of single use plastic and styrofoam. Why do 3 carrots need to be wrapped in plastic? This is a disgrace and needs to end.
Questionable quality control. You need to be super careful what you buy. I've picked up a jar of sauce here that was moldy inside because the seal was popped. I've also bought produce that was spoiled when I cut into it only 1 day after purchase. And the last time I bought a dozen eggs, there was one missing. It sucks to have to always be wary when you just want to buy some groceries and get out, not to mention their hypocritical penny pinching when returning said moldy items: They didn't want me to exchange the moldy produce for a new one 10 cents more expensive priced by weight, hard to find an exact match, but then they didn't offer to give me any money back when I ending up buying one that was cheaper than my original purchase. This place leaves a bad taste behind, and it's not just from the moldy produce. PS. not to mention the checkout staff always giving attitude and chatting away
This place is trying to scam people. They fill bags of high priced oranges with other oranges and tangerines pretending it’s part of the product and when I tried to take them out and put the actual oranges that actually belong inside the bag, they accused me of swapping out the product! Maybe if you actually bag the proper items then customers won’t have to do your job for you! It’s ridiculous!
Great store! Nice selection of natural/organic items and an AMAZING beer selection!
Very nice neighborhood grocery store. Has a nice selection of items for such a small grocery store. And if you ask the manager for something he will have it the next time you visit. Very friendly staff.just a homey type atmosphere. Fresh veggies and cheese and a pretty good deli Dept. Also. Great place.
They have the freshest fruits and vegetable with great prices. I love coming here and knowing I’m going to the same consistent service and products. The staff is always friendly and helpful, they’re also quick at the checkout line when it gets busy and that’s a plus for me when going to supermarkets. There is rarely any bottle neck lines here. If your looking for great, fresh, and new products this is the place to go if you live in the area.
Great supermarket for getting just what you need and getting out fast. They don't have the largest selection but usually has what you're looking for.
Bought groceries! Nobody hurt me! Left and went home. Life is good!
Moldy Food. I pointed out multiple packages of moldy food to a manager months ago, he said he would handle it after blaming his employees. I found the same food moldy again 3 months later and a different manager couldn't care less It was the manufacturers fault, or the employees, or mine for caring since, anyone else but him of course. I asked directly didn't he think they were responsible for the food they serve, his response was that I can shop somewhere else. Moldy food might not be a that big a deal, but managers that take no responsibility and blame the customer? That says a lot about what else you may be buying and feeding to your family.
This should be a 2.5 star store and absolutely no higher. The pros? It's conveniently located on 50th ave near several residential buildings, so it's fine in a pinch. The staff is pretty nice, never really had any problems. The cons? Their produce and vegan items are overpriced and mostly a miss especially their avocados, absolutely terrible. Their stock of items is abysmal - and they never have a significant portion of their sales flyer, and when they do they often overcharge because they never updated their stock or they stock a different brand which then is the only one they have even though the sale was for the other brand. The self checkout is weird because they generally have no bags there and always make you buy a new bag for a dollar if you forgot yours. Their 'homemade' stuff such as pico de gallo is often not sealed so you have no idea what the freshness is. This place is a fancier looking convenience store - great if you need a snack or well preserved item, but buyer beware for perishables, etc
