Food was very modern and fresh. So many different tastes to choose from. Atmosphere is nice. Amazing what they've done with old shipyard buildings.
URBN has 0 regard for the customer experience, and will bar customers from ordering from their brands without cause. In Oct ‘22 I ordered a pair of boots from UO that arrived and were too small. I processed an exchange request and returned the boots in person to the Urban Outfitters store. Meanwhile, in the tracking information from their chosen carrier for the new boots, I was notified that my package was damaged and the item was discarded. I made multiple attempts to contact UO customer service about this issue. Each time I was told that the package needed to make its way back to UO before I was refunded. However, the package was never delivered to me as it was destroyed and discarded during shipping, per their tracking info. Because the item never arrived to me and I was told UO would not refund me even though it had been weeks with no delivery, I disputed the charge with PayPal and they ruled in my favor due to the evidence I provided. Shortly after, I made several attempts to purchase items from Free People with several items in my Anthropologie cart that I had also intended to purchase and received confirmations followed by order cancellations. After multiple calls and emails, I was told that I was restricted from purchasing from any of your brands because their carrier lost the package attempted to ship to me and I was rightfully refunded by PayPal, as UO would not provide me with any answers. Not once was anyone apologetic or compassionate throughout this experience. In fact, I wrote a letter to the CEO and had a call scheduled with someone Joe McNorrill due to call me on a set day and time - they never called or emailed any explanation. I expect more in general from customer service, but this has been a level of low I could not have expected.
The parking here at the navy yard is tough. I walk to my car yesterday and find someone shoved a note on my car indicating that the city street I parked on, is for employees. No name or contact informatiin. Apparently the employees are so full of themselves they feel that they can reserve city street parking. Perhaps if the arrived earlier they would be able to find a decent spot. No where within the vicinity of the parking spaces indicates these parking spots are reserved.
I would give Anthropologie's customer service a negative star if I could. My wife ordered a dress for an upcoming event and somehow it was shipped to a former address that was on file. When she received the confirmation email and realized the error, she contacted customer service just to hear that there was nothing that could be done to reroute or cancel the shipment. Then she was told to contact UPS directly to see if there was something that could be done on their end. 5 phone calls later, she had to pay $8.00 to have the delivery cancelled and sent back to Anthropologie. In the end, she spent $158.00 dollars in total and has nothing to show for it but wasted time. It's 2022...there has to be an easier way to correct a very common mistake like having the wrong shipping address updated. Rest assured, my wife will not be ordering anything else from you.
A joke. Interviewed with them for a position that would literally be a down grade for me. The interviewer was awful! So rude! I turned it down after the first interview. I then sent an email about how this person should not be interviewing people because she was so rude and get no response. Then I get an email saying I was no longer being considered. I was then blocked from emailing back. No longer considered?! I no longer considered you guys. I’ll stick with a company with better values, better systems and better sales!
Zero Stars honestly. I called the corporate office to ask about internships, there was an unclear rule written in one of the internship position descriptions and I called to clarify that it didn't apply to every internship position. The receptionist interrupted me, didn't let me finish my sentences, snapped at me like I had been repeating the same questionwhich I wasn't then proceeded to hang up on me after giving m no information. I wanted to be a part of the URBN team and she hung up on me. I am honestly really disappointed and can't believe someone spoke to me that way over the phone, especially someone working for my favorite brand...
Like most retailers these days, NO, NO, NO customer service. This is appalling considering the price of their items. I would truly expect more from this company, but they have proved themselves to be a money-hungry, no fault, don't care company. My kids were in love with the store and I refuse to support them anymore. Once my kids realized how unreliable they are and how they don't make things right, they saw Urban Outfitters for what they truly are and won't shop there again either.
Sky-high prices, but the food is pretty good, and really varied. You could eat here every day for a month and never have the same thing twice. And it's one of the only places to get food in the Navy Yard... that has a value.
The buzzword of the day is Vegan - eating and clothing! You could get great free publicity by announcing that you are!
