Urban Soul

Waited at the counter for more than 5 minutes and nobody came to the window. As I looked over the menu, I hear a BUNCH of coughing. You know, by the sound, the cough was not a covered one. I don't know who it was because they were all in the back, but that was a BIG TURN-OFF. The other individuals that had already paid and were waiting all looked in disappointment. I walked away. Friends later went back and said the peach cobbler was watery and the green bean's were good. An easy NO for me!

Horrible. Avoid if you can. No dine-in service…carry out only and still slow AF. The dark-skinned lady taking orders had a terrible attitude…they’re inconsistent with portion sizes and “smothered chicken” is basically fried chicken with gravy and onions poured on top. ONE short rib was $20. Very unorganized and ran out of food before 5pm on a Sunday! Smh a mess

I wish I could give them 5 stars as the food is amazing...but after three visits to the restaurant in four months they continue to be really bad in service. You call no one answers the phone. I called five times, no answer...You go in and its ten people in line, then you have to wait 30-45 minutes for food and all there have similar stories...we laugh as we wait but it truly isn't funny...I love this place but they truly do not love me my money or my business! So sad!

The food was not what I'd expected. Greens were not cut properly Chicken was ok meatloaf my husband said was edible. Black eye peas too soupy Cornbread ok Mac and cheese needed a little browning I've had better personally and for the hour wait and mixed up on one of the side the price wasn't worth it in my opinion. Parking: It's in a Crowded strip mall so park at your own risk.

I'll give this place a five it's always tasty food is always flavorful and taste like something I would make. Now staff wise ughhhhh they had one waitress working on a Saturday afternoon that woman DID WHAT SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. She made sure my family was served and we had a huge crowd and she also helped the other folks that were in the restaurant......

Food was very good. Everything tasted great. Service was ok but I’ll be back for the food

The food wasn't very good, the dressing was terrible, the pork chops were ok but a little tuff and the string beans were ok. They need new cooks and they need to learn how to make cornbread dressing .

Food was absolutely disgusting. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. The dressing was also flavorless and dry despite the gravy. The only saving grace was the chicken and that was only okay. Overall the food was subpar and I won’t be returning.

Not bad. My first time there and I wanted to have a sample of the blackeye peas. But she said they don't give out samples. So, if I would have ordered them and didn't like it, they would have wasted some food. But, the greens were really good.

I asked for smothered chicken and I all I got was fried chicken with gravy poured over it. Terrible! Cooks and cashiers need to be retrained or fired!
