Urbana Junior High

This is one of the worst schools in the nation. Being a teacher for 25 years I know that this is THE worst school in the nation. I am retired now and only do occasional substitute teaching. This school disobeys state and federal laws and regulation. Teachers on campus are doing what seems to be Illicit or illegal drugs and the students are physically disciplined. Not simply a tug on the arm or slap on the wrist but they are BEATEN until they submit. Teachers and principles alike disobey school rules and the students must be traumatized. I walked into the classroom and they had their heads down and one of the students was crying and all the students looked at her as if I were about to hit her. The school academically is far below average, they have a very high budget, however that budget is mostly spent on the crack that they're smoking at their school! The average for the school is around 30%. No not 30% passing (I wish, it would be a miracle) but instead 30% as the actual grade. That is an F, far below an F infact. If grades went lower than F this would be approximately an M or N. I don't blame the students. The school steals all supplies from their lockers and sells it off to other schools. How did this school not get shut down? Should I contact the governor about this? This school is a crime against education, humanity, and these students. I can only pray that these students are going to be okay. Whatever you do DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE send your child to this school. Please note: The simple act of 2 students holding hands will earn detention and possibly suspension. However, 2 teachers having sex in the office is allowed.

Great school. Great kids and awesome staff. Teachers best around and truly care!!!
