Story

Utah Rugs is Utah’s oldest and premiere rug gallery. From its humbling beginnings in 1979 when brothers Jack and Edmond Simantob started “House of Oriental Rugs” from a 750 square foot store in Salt Lake City, to its eventual movement and renaming to “Simantov Gallery” on Main Street, the company’s reputation for high-quality rugs, excellent service, and authentic and eclectic design remains the same. In 2012 after 32 years in business, the name once again was changed to Utah Rugs and a newly expanded 11,000 square feet gallery was constructed at the present location. Located on convenient Highland Drive, the company remains committed to preserving the traditional art of hand- woven rugs.
