we enjoyed our lunch very much, especially the appetizers. the shrimp served with the asparagus was absolutely delicious! and the clams were yummy. yum!, there was not a lot of sausage in the clam dish though the whole fish was delectable. The salmon was a little bit disappointing as there was very, very very little spinach in it. they should just pass on the mashed potatoes because they are definitely not made from scratch. The homemade dessert was really delicious. four stars for service because we waited for acknowledgment, while the bartender was conversing with a guest on a personal level. that was a little off putting. after that, service was just okay.

One of my very few 5 star reviews. Everything was perfect. Service, food, atmosphere. Even the parking was tolerable valet for tips only. The lamb was delicious! Expect to spend some money $225+ for 4.Food: 5/5

We had a wonderful dinner and experience at Valenca! Miguel and the other staff members were very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious. Food and service was excellent. We ordered a bunch of appetizers that were delicious. I ordered the boneless rib eye which was cooked to a perfect medium, nice and juicy. My other guess had twin stuffed lobster tails, stuffed salmon and stuffed flounder. Crab meat stuffing was good but definitely needs more crab meat. I would definitely go back.

This place never disappoints. Large menu but they know what to do with it. Everything is always delicious. Prices are where they need to be to provide quality food like that. Had chilean Seabass and family had the the codfish Mayo. I always stop in when in town. Lunch or dinner you can't go wrong. They have a separate spot for take out only and they have really good sangria.

Great Portuguese restaurant in Newark, NJ. Flavorful, big portions, service was okay. Good wine and cocktail selections. Don't hesitate! Make reservations. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely enjoyed the food here. Make reservations!!! Service was good but I could tell they definitely were overwhelmed because they were jammed packed. Ordered an appetizer and never received it and had 2 waiters come to take our orders. It took a while to get the food but when we did it was amazing and tbh we didn’t mind the wait because drinks were amazing and it was date night so we were enjoying each other’s company. Will definitely be back

Well everyone this restaurant is by far a diamond in the rough of the American jungle of fast junk food cancer. This beautiful environment has brought me to believe again. My taxi shuttle driver told me to order from them. Absolutely delicious as I smiled from earlier to ear. The first day I ordered cod meat pies also I ordered ribs beef ribs and grilled chicken sauteed at that a beautiful house salad fresh rolls housemaid 6 l of water imported then on my second day. I just remembered that I didn't get my chicken wings they gave that to me and no charge so I ordered an extra order of chicken wings and a second day of carrot cake which I had a sirloin steak medium weld pickled vegetables that were amazing extremely amazing and roasted potatoes that were extremely amazing as well let me tell you it was an affair to remember it felt like a relationship that should never end. So treat yourself to this beautiful restaurant take out or eat in and the staff was amazing beautiful over the phone the second time around apologetic also the delivery people extremely humble extremely caring it just made you want to hug these people do yourself some justice and spend some serious money at this business is Portuguese and I've never had Portuguese food God bless these people. I will be more adventurous from now on

My flight home from Newark was canceled so I had the afternoon free to indulge in the most beautiful lunch guided by the expert bar staff at Valenca. The kind and knowledgeable bartender walked me through all the classics and didn't bat an eye when I ordered half the appetizer menu because I couldn't pick just one thing. The food was incredible and the staff generously accommodated my prolonged stay as I avoided the chaos of the airport. 10/10 would recommend.

What an amazing place to have such a different hight quality food. Huge menu, Appetizers were delicious, drinks are good, the food is realyy good with very high quality especially the seafood. The place is always crowded, so make sure to reserve before you go. They have free parking next to the restaurant. Parking: Available parking
