First thing's first- high quality tea! A small, but diverse selection that gets you any kind of malty/fruity/earthy tea youre looking for. Tea pastries are nice as well. Very kind owners and a great upstairs/outdoor seating area for small groups, even during limited seating guidance. Good study spot too.

I read that the owners of Valley Brook were targeted in some sort of hate crime. That makes me so angry because the owners are incredibly nice and welcoming people. They have really high quality products and it’s a great place to do work. One the best spots in the area

Went for the first time - really great service. Explain the difference in teas. Smells so good in there. Da Hong Pao tea was delicious - tons of natural flavor. Really good and solid experience.

The proprietors are incredibly knowledgeable about their teas, and have curated a wonderful menu of teas. Its one of my favorite places in DC and a fantastic addition to dupont circle

Magical place! Try the White Peony Tea my hubby says “with honey”! The owners are a wealth of knowledge about tea, furniture, and Asian culture. We went back every day of our trip. Thank you for making us feel at home and bringing the tastes of China to our trip.

This is an absolutely lovely tea shop. While my girlfriend and I grabbed a few delicious iced teas, the gentleman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. Also, they have beautiful pottery tea sets made by their family business. If you need to cool off or take a quick break, grab some of their delicious tea.
