I have known Ken Traenkle for several years through our kids. Last year I sought Ken's business advice and counsel on a commercial property I was considering buying. Turns out Ken is not only a super nice guy (which I knew), but highly knowledgeable in all matters Commercial Real Estate. He gave me an insightful tutorial on commercial property, its valuation, business case, etc. and helped me truly understand the economics of the property I was evaluating. I am beyond thrilled with my new space, courtesy of Bob Long. Every specification was met and exceeded. I am a newbie to commercial leasing, but Bob took care of every detail along the way, from scouting out an off-market building to handling parking arrangements, negotiating the monthly lease down by more than 10%, and making sure that paint was touched up and fresh prior to move-in. I can't begin to describe how pleased and excited I am. I now have a wonderful new commercial space in a phenomenal location just six blocks off the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria. He handled the entire process with such finesse and organization. He was incredibly responsive the entire time and certainly went the extra mile, several miles in fact. My new space is well within my stated budget, with plenty of "wiggle-room" to factor in transportation--- be it metro or car, or bus for that matter. During the initial search and with each space that matched my criteria, Bob provided floor plans from the property managers and even went as far as to redraw the true usable space on the plans in neat sketches. He measured the top candidate spaces accurate down to the inch! Finally, you can tell that he is well-respected in commercial real estate because he was able to leverage his architectural expertise and industry relationships with ease. I will be working with Bob years down the road, I am sure.
