We enjoyed watching Disney on Ice at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. We had no parking issues as we booked the parking with our tickets. But I would say, even if you book parking ahead, go a little early. The line to get in the garage was ridiculously long. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff was nice. Popcorn was a disappointment. Too salty , saggy and overpriced .
It’s been a while since I went to an ice hockey game. Not the best night for the winterhawks but the tickets we had were wonderful. We were right on the ice and the atmosphere was fun and there was a bit of excitement there. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Security stinks at this place. If you get split up, once you leave, you can't enter, even if it's to find a lost child. Very aggressive bouncers. Zero exceptions. Also, before leaving your car, be sure you leave all your weapons and valuables so they can be stolen while you're inside.
Celebrated Father's day with the Juneteenth 8/s eight second rodeo. Good fun night in the small but functional Veterans Coliseum adjacent to the Moda Center. Talented athletes... especially the women's barrel racers ... fun crowd, great community.
Amazing space for a concert, we went there last night to watch NF. It was amazing the coliseum was set up amazingly, one of the best concerts I've been to. Food was so expensive which is a shame. For a soda it was $9.50 and water was $6.00. The bathrooms weren't the best apart from that the coliseum was amazing.
Went here during the Rockzilla Tour. This live music venue is mid-sized but it still packs a lot of visitors. Check-in and security checks were quick and easy. The sound was good and the seats didn't feel too uncomfortable. I don't know how many floors they have but the "general" area or the main floor did get pretty crowded in-between bands and the line to the only merch store was super long. They have various food and drink vendors which was nice but that burrito bowl did not make me feel good at the end of the night. The seat pictures were from the last row upper seats. Overall a decent concert venue.
Great concert. Sat in section 11. The view was good. The seats were made for someone shorter than 5' 9". I will be more selective next time.
The Veterans Memorial Coliseum is a bit old. I went here to watch a hockey game. The game was on a Monday on Martin Luther King Day. The game started at 2 pm. Normally a hockey game has a full house but this day maybe a third of the coliseum was filled with fans. They have many food and alcohol choices to choose from. On this day not every food vendor area was open. The event staff were polite and welcoming. It’s always fun to watch a hockey game and see the players body check other players into the glass. I rarely see fights at these Portland Winterhawks games. I always have fun when I go see hockey games here.
It's overall okay, but just dropping by to say food prices are astronomical. For like, INCREDIBLY lower value than any other venue. You're looking at $15.50 + tip in this picture
Paid parking garages all around. As far as I could tell only one entry and exit point so was quite crowded to get out Clean restrooms Plenty of food and beverage options......expensive Two popcorns, coke plastic bottle, and souvenir lemonade for a grand total of 49 dollars which was more than my seat First time at venue for Disney on Ice
