Let me start by saying I really don't like to leave bad reviews...but I believe in leaving 100% honest reviews... I gave Victor's Italian Restaurant 3 chances, Each time was not good! I'm Sicilian from Palermo, Sicily so, I know how to cook and how to make an amazing sauce. There's no way the cooks are Italian or Sicilian... Today November 2022 we ordered Chicken Matteo & Chicken Parm without pasta and a side of meatballs. Chicken Parm: The chicken itself was ok, not great but ok. The chicken was literally swimming in sauce. And, the sauce, let me tell you about the sauce...absolutely awful!! The sauce was kind of chunky but also watery...it tastes like a cheap grocery store jarred sauce...but just tomatoes, no herbs, seasoning or spices, literally just tomatoes. The sauce is very very sweet and left a lingering sweet taste in my mouth I only tried a bite and I spit it out, I can still taste the sauce!. Meatballs: the meatballs were like a dense sponge...they look like frozen meatballs. Absolutely no way they are homemade! Chicken Matteo: This meal looked like it would be decent, but it was disappointing to say the least... It looks like some pieces of chicken are breaded and others are not. The pieces with breading were soggy but the chicken itself appeared cooked well. I took 2 bites of pasta and just couldn't eat it. The pasta ziti was a little hard, it could have been cooked an extra minute or two. The sauce was mostly oil with some seasoning and it also had sweet taste...and an underlying taste that I can't figure out. The artichokes were good. Bread: The bread was amazing! Very fresh and soft, perfectly baked!! The Staff has always been very nice and pleasant when I call to order. I gave this place a few chances because every cook/chef is different and once in a while a restaurant can have an off day... But, after 3 times...I'm done! I will not be ordering from here again! Looks like we will be having cereal for dinner because it's too late for me to cook! Vegetarian options: Ravioli or pasta...thats it! It's a small menu! Mostly chicken, seafood and veal! Kid-friendliness: Not at all!! There's NO kids menu! Parking: Parking is terrible!! Illegal Street parking on a very busy street Lincoln Ave which is fine to run in to pick up your order but if you plan on dining there you may want to find a better/safer parking spot Wheelchair accessibility: No, this restaurant is NOT wheelchair accessible! There is 4 stairs to get to the entrance. There is no landing/porch/walkway. It is literally 4 stairs and the door...which makes it extremely difficult to get a wheelchair up the narrow stairs, then open the screen door screen door opens out towards the stairs and then through the actual door
Visited here from Texas and this was the cutest and BEST authentic Italian food I’ve ever ate! The atmosphere was adorable and it felt like we were eating at grandmas house. Super friendly staff, and the meatballs and pasta were to die for! 100% would recommend! There was limited parking but it was worth it to drive around for a sec and find parking. GO EAT HERE! You won’t regret it!
Friend & I stopped here while waiting for our friend to land. It's a small little place, but AMAZING food. 100% would go again.
Incredible! So fresh. We chose this place based on previous reviews and the reviews are all spot on! It is 25 minutes from our location we are going back for dinner tonight. We got the #2 & #6 with tiramisu for dessert for our initial stop. We will miss this place!!! The locals are lucky!
Food is excellent. Chicken, zitti & Broccoli alfredo is Out of this world. My family and I have tried most of the dishes and all our excellent including their meatballs And we found out they also do catering which was very exciting to knowFood: 5/5
Top notch Italian food.all the basics. I had chicken and eggplant Parm. Delicious! A free meatball to start. You can bring your own beer or wine too
This place is a hidden gem The food is always on point. North end esque with great value, quality, & the portions are plentiful. I highly recommend.Food: 5/5
The restaurant is mostly take out; it has 3 tables, nothing fancy but it is cute. Very nice staff and yummy Italian food. Everything is freshly made. I tried the chicken Marsala and it was awesome. You can BYOB if you would like to have a drink with your dinner as they don’t serve alcohol. I prefer to support small businesses vs big chains and this place did not disappoint.
Absolutely positively Love Victor's, gracious portions of delicious food made fresh, so yummy!!!
I love this place. A good price for GREAT food. What a delicious meatball!Food: 5/5
