I cant say enough wonderful things about this office. I took my wife to see Dr Viennas for an emergency appointment, They understood the severity of the pain she was in and were able to squeeze us in. the Dr him self is very straight forward, well informed and will tell you factually what is happening to your body. what can be done to improve / manage your pain. He dose not mince words, he tells you what you need to hear so you can move forward with your treatment the safest way possible. The front staff are the greatest, they were very reassuring and answered EVERY one of my questions no matter how silly or anxious i was to ask them. they walked us through what was happening every step of the way. Angela, Laura have done what they do for some time now, they are very thorough and keep you well informed when they communicate with you. I wish i could remember the names of the other medical aides in the office and give them their well deserved credit. Even the person collecting blood work was amazing. my wife has always had problems giving blood, most techs usually have issues finding a suitable vein and yet this amazing woman was able to draw her blood on the first attempt with out even so much as a wince of pain. "we were lucky to find these people" I keep telling my wife. its a scary process realizing you have RA, but these folks made us feel more at ease with their expertise
I’ve been going to see Dr. Viennas for several years and I can’t say enough about his care. From entering his office and working with his great staff Angela and Laura, to the cleanliness and order of his treatment room, all the way to the check out process – his office and professionalism is second to none. As for the care he provides, I truly appreciated his approach of treating me as a whole, not a collection of potential disparate problems. Since he is a one doctor practice he seems to be able to manage his time in such a way that he gives himself time to think and focus on me as his patient – no hurried review of my file as he scampers from his previous patient in the next room, and therefore no rush out the door to his next patient. That’s really nice, and not like the typical doctor. He truly cares about me as a patient and as an individual.
I have been a patient of Dr. Viennas for over 10 years and he is the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient. I had 3 doctors before him misdiagnose, but not him he was very patient and determine to help me. His staff is so welcoming, caring and extremely helpful. They go above and beyond to make your experience as comfortable as they can. He takes his time explaining everything to you to ensure you leave feeling knowlegable. I wish their were more doctors and support staff like they have in Dr. Viennas office.
Dr . Viennas has been my rheumatologist for years. Before I went to him, I was on the whole assortment of medication for my condition. He was able to pare me down to a medication regiment that’s reasonable, and makes me feel better. It’s also very easy to make appointments with his office - the staff there is super nice and always gets me in when I don’t feel well. They know you by name, and are always willing to call for your referrals, or make any other arrangements that you might need. A++++ highly recommend!!
I took my mother for her first Prolia injection which was an out of pocket expense through his pharmacy, we felt rushed that he couldn't even answer a simple question if she is going to have a reaction because she has health issues. His response to us was "are you keeping me", I gave this injection to other patients and they didn't have any reaction or side effect. What ok , he gave the injection and told her to call if she got any side effect will she did that evening that she couldn't breath or get up because she was so weak ; he never returned her call during the night. What doctor knowing her condition not call his patient back the same night of her first Prolia injection and that we were very concern before giving her the injection. So disappointed because he was highly recommended. She is not going to him anymore and he only uses his pharmacist which is very fishy, why can't we use our pharmacist for the Prolia or arthritis cream. RED FLAGS here
Love Dr. Viennas, he is a wonderful doctor. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, patient, he listens to his patients, he genuinely cares deeply about us, I find him compassionate & an excellent physician. I am very happy to B his petient.
Dr. Viennas and his staff were incredible! He is one of the most caring, loving healthcare professionals. During my visit with Dr. Viennas he took the time to go over all my healthcare issues and spent time listening to my concerns and going over all of my questions. He was very thorough and was patient care focused. If you are in need of a rheumatologist I highly recommend seeing Dr. Viennas!
Didn't get to the appointment! No less then seven phone calls back and forth to figure out if the appointment was being kept or if the location was open and who did I speak to. Phoned me without leaving a message....that would have helped the situation. Called back - Doctor has multiple phone numbers and people receiving the calls.....misinformation given. If this is what it takes to get to see the doctor on a first visit, I can't imagine what it would be like trying to get records or anything important. I need to communicate effectively with my doctor and from what I have just experienced, I can't believe that would be the case. NYU provides doctors with automated tools to communicate with their patients. Why this doctor does not make use of them is beyond me. That is a primary reason I use NYU doctors. All of my information is available to all NYU doctors and communication is made directly through the NYU APP. Apparently everyone does their own thing and you need to experience them one at a time.
What a blessing to find a first-class, NYU Langone rheumatologist in my Astoria neighborhood. His skills, proficiency and expertise in his field make him an outstanding choice of physician to treat my rare auto-immune disease. I was impressed by the technical ability of the nurse/lab tech who was awsome. I also want to mention his dedicated office staff who treat his patients with respect and courtesy. Thank you Dr. Viennas for taking such good care of me.
What can I say about my favorite doctor? I've entrusted my healthcare to him for over a decade and from the otherside of the nation in Oregon. He is truly the best Doctor I've had the fortune to have in my life.Besides his knowledge and understanding of his field ,he is kind,caring, ,personable ,interested in your whole wellbeing and something many physicians seem incapable of, he listens...He has helped me through some tough times,with honesty and a laugh which shows his humanity. I feel blessed to have him as my physician. Making it all the better is his office staff, helping you as though family and making certain they do everything they can to meet you needs. Hats off to Laura,Angie,and Branca I don't know how I could have made it without your caring and your smiles.Excellent and wonderful are a few words that I can describe my experience throughout the years.
