Villa Pizza

Story

Come to Villa Italian Kitchen at 4001 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD for a delicious Italian meal.

Villa Italian Kitchen was founded with one store, one family and one concept in 1964, when our founder, Michele “Michael” Scotto brought his authentic old-world recipes from Naples, Italy to New York City. Michele’s commitment to hospitality, quality ingredients, like homemade dough, 100% whole milk mozzarella and fresh sauce and the strict loyalty to those now famous recipes, built the business. From that first Villa Pizza that opened in 1964, next to the CBS/Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway, to nearly 300 Villa Italian Kitchen restaurants later, our commitment to quality and genuine hospitality remains the basis of our foundation.
In 2014, Villa Italian Kitchen and its parent company Villa Restaurant Group celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Today, Villa is under the leadership of Michele’s two sons Biagio “Ben” Scotto and Anthony Scotto. Together, they continue the vision and passion of their father extending the genuine hospitality inspired by their father.

So the sign says "entree, pasta, salad, or vegetable." they told me that the words were wrong and they wouldn't honor it and told me the side was a mandatory breadstick. The lasagna my friend got was worse than canned lasagna. The noodles were rubbery and overcooked, no seasoning. Even the ricotta was flavorless and vile. There is a limit of two toppings for your salad which they don't tell you. The marinara was watery, bland, and left a nasty taste in my mouth. I couldn't eat it.
I ordered 15 minutes ahead of time so that the pizza would be ready when I got there. I have done that in the past here and I know it takes about 15 minutes for the pizza to be done. Today I get there right at 15 minutes after ordering my pizza. Guess what? They haven't even started my pizza! No one was in line and it wasn't that busy but the employee tells me it's been a long week. It's understandable and stuff happens but still not great customer service. I believe he simply forgot to start my pizza after I called. He maybe started helping a customer I am guessing. He was the one who I called to start the pizza a head of time. I had to wait about 20 minutes once I got there. Bad overall experience here today. They could have given me a discount or something for having to wait. My whole point for calling a head was that I was in a hurry today. I am not sure if I will be back again to be honest!
Spent alot of time listening to the bad reviews. Recently during the holiday season the kids wanted it while shopping. The pizza was great fresh. We when we had a chance we ordered like any other restaurant. They were super friendly and helpful to my wife. Food was excellent. Don't take my word for it. Try for yourself. Update: I have had some real difficulties getting anyone to answer the phone for call in orders. On my last trip in, the men working the counter were incredibly unprofessional.
I really like their Alfredo cheese pizza that they normally have and will make a special stop at the mall to get it even though I HATE the mall. We we're in town for my Daughters Birthday and went to the food court to get supper at 8:12, I didn't see one so I just asked if they had one coming and was told they were done cooking for the night, I said ok any specials on pasta since they had a full pan and apparently planned to close soon. She said no so I went right next door to TJ's and got something fresh and what I wanted. What a disappointment. Never understood, pasta is cheap, as in ingredients. Why $5.50 for a tiny bowl? It's great stuff but not enough to fill a guy up. Sorry just not impressed tonight with you guys. Update at 8:50, no worries as I walked by all the employees got huge helpings of all the leftover food and pasta before they threw it away:-
We haeh been to the empire mall twice in the last month both times there was a male employee working. I was going to get Pizza and after watching this employee talking in his phone and texting with a plastic serving glove on I changed my mind. I feel this was very unprofessional of him. I watched him both times we were there and he spent almost a half hour texting and talking on his phone. I also witnessed this employee giving food to two females and they didn't pay for it. I feel if this is how you want your establishment represented than your ratings will never be higher than a 2.4.
This is a very good dining experience. The food is very high quality, and the prices are fair, if not a bit on the high side. The pizza was very good, without being overly greasy. The staff was very friendly, and the management really value customer service.
I went to Villa pizza in the mall looking to get a single slice. It costed $5 for a 5th of a pizza. I forked over the money thinking it's probably some really high class shiz. Nope. The pizza was sitting out and all they did was microwave it. Not worth it at all.
A while back I got the spaghetti. When I paid and went to eat, it was colder than it looked in the display area and the tasted reminded me of the nail polish scent. Every time I walk by the pizza does not look fresh.
Horrible experience. We were standing there a couple minutes before being acknowledged despite 5 people working, during lunch rush they had no strombolis, only 2 options for pizza, no chocolate milk, no white milk, and only orange juice for our kids to drink
I went there to buy a pizza value meal and found out that there is NO refills on their medium pop! EVERY other restaurant in the Empire Mall food court has refills on ANY size pop you buy. The next time i went there to buy the SAME value meal they told me I could get a large pop and there would be refills on a large. I asked about the price difference between the two and they said "only about twenty cents". After I bought the meal with the large pop and compared the receipts between the two value menus with and without the large pop and I found the difference in price to be almost a dollar! I refuse to believe that there is about 80 cents tax on 20 cents. I believe this is deceitful if you ask me! .
