Just a few blocks walk from my hotel, I decided to give this place a shot. It was here, or the "Awful Waffle" just down the street. Leah, my server, did an amazing job. The music was a good mix, some 70s channel or something on Sirius. I got the VIB breakfast plus one item. Totally worth it. The house made sausage patty had excellent flavor...just like Gramma used to make. The French toast was excellent, as were the pancakes. Here in Albuquerque for the week with Fox Sports for the game on Friday and thinking when the rest of the crew will enjoy this as well. Downloaded the Village Inn app while sitting there and got $10 off my meal. Not a bad deal. I would recommend.
The experience was really nice. The service can definitely improve but the food was amazing. So if you don’t mind bad service on waiters then it’s overall really nice. Definitely recommend their breakfast special with the strawberry crepe’s
Enjoyed dinner at this VI location. Convenient to the Albuquerque Sunport, and several hotels. We arrived a bit early for dinner and the dining room had lots of room. The pies in the display case looked tempting, but we abstained. Dinner was the potroast and a chicken pot pie. The pot pie is not on the menu and is available upon request and only while supplies last. Both were very good. Service was friendly and fast enough. The two of us ate for $30. Parking is plentiful, off-street, and surrounds the restaurant. The restrooms are adequate. Kid-friendliness: VI is kid-friendly. Parking: Parking is off-street, plentiful and surrounds the restaurant.
See the attached receipt from Village Inn on Yale Blvd in Albuquerque, NM. My name is Jeff Martinez. I am a local business owner in Albuquerque, NM. Went into eat lunch today at your restaurant see the receipt attached. I ordered a Ruben. I specifically asked the waitress if the pie was free today because it was Wednesday.. She said yes. Brought me out a pie which was over microwaved and soggy. See the picture of your advertisement and the pie I received!! To myself I said, "Well the pie is free, why complain.. I will just eat the soggy over microwaved piece of pie and keep my mouth shut." I come to find out the pie WAS NOT FREE. She brought me my bill which had a pie charge on it. and the waitress stated the cashier would remove the pie charge listed on my receipt because the pie was FREE. When I brought my receipt up to pay, the manager said he would have to charge me for a beverage to get the pie for free. this is NOT what the waitress stated.. I did drink a beverage, which was a glass of water... the point is I was never told the terms of the transaction for the free pie. The manager was rude, so I just said I would pay for the pie and then I proceeded to tell the manager the pie was soggy and over microwaved. I specifically told him I had a picture of it. He ignored and did not resolve the issue of my free pie which I was overcharged. I would have never have ordered the pie if I understood, but NO ONE TOLD ME. There was no disclosure or anything on the table or walls about having to order a "beverage" to get a free pie. The waitress did not even say her name, nor filled up my glass of water when it was empty. I had a horrible experience. Why offer free pie when the pie is not free? I recommend to go to Denny's which is a few blocks away.
Loved it. What a great breakfast and service. Going to return to see about their claims of ‘best pie’.
Another gem right across from my “hotel”! Food is delicious! Nice portions! Eager to try other menu items at this joint
Visiting from El Paso. We had an amazing experience. As soon as we walked in the crew was very helpful they got us tables for 6 adults and 4 kids. The food was amazing. I had the breakfast smoothered burrito. The red Chile sauce is super spicy.
This is our favorite breakfast place and we've been going for years...our waitress was awesome the food was great the only thing that killed it was the very rude/sassy hostess. I thought I was being judgmental but then we overheard other diners commenting. She didn't greet us, she did not respond when I said "good morning " she was sipping a drink leaning on the counter while others were trying to check out...there was even a slamming of something and rolling her eyes....I get it work can suck sometimes but if someone is trying to be nice and make your day better Maybe acknowledge that I mean the rest of the crew was chugging a long smiling... Kid-friendliness: Our kiddo is autistic and when we asked to be moved to a booth so he wouldn't bolt our waitress was more than happy to help...again when we asked the hostess for crayons she sharply said "No...we don't have any "
Food was acceptable but the service was trash. I sat for 9 minutes before placing my drink order and I attempted to order food at the same time but the waitress was GONE. She brought my drink 7 minutes later and I never saw her again. A different lady brought my food and the bill then disappeared. No drink refill. No "how is everything" NOTHING. I paid without tipping. That was the first time in my adult life I've not tipped. Oh well.
Friendly staff, they hustled and did well. Establishment was clean and in good shape, but it's a chain restaurant like any of them. The food was okay, nothing impressive and the atmosphere was more blan than anything. I'd go back because the service was good and convenient if coming or going to the airport but no ther reason.Food: 3/5
