What a lovely place!! Everything from the freshly baked bread to dessert was fabulous! The food tasted as if we were invited to an Italian family dinner. My husband and I shared the veal Parmesan and salmon pasta. We opted pay extra to have the homemade pasta served with our dishes and I’m so glad we did! The portions are generous and the prices are super reasonable. I highly recommend to try the homemade tiramisu if you have any room left! We will definitely be back
Arrived for dinner and waiting some time to be seated even though it was less than half full. The restaurant is located in the back half of a store so it tries to have an Old World feel. Humble and cimfortable. The waiter was good about taking our beverage orders. He brought out bread which was excellent. We started with an antepasto and it looked like a confused chef's salad. Next up was the chicken parm. Good size piece of chicken cooked to perfection. The sauce was small pieces of tomato and well balanced. For dessert, order the lemoncello sorbet. Really tart and creamy. Absolutely amazing. I would come here just for the sorbet. I really enjoyed my meal. I'll stare away from the antepasto next time but for a great homemade Italian dinner, Vinny's hit the mark.
I rarely give 5 stars and when I give it, trust me, it’s a 5 star. First, where on this green planet, or blue, or flat, whichever you choose, can you find a Chicken Parm hoagie that is not only absolutely remarkably DELICIOUS but, find it for under $10? Vinny’s, that’s where! People, if you in Boston and want to eat a delicious chicken parmigiana, trust me, Vinny’s is the real deal. Their pepper steaks on Mondays are also a killer hoagie. You won’t be disappointed. Secondly, the people there are so darn friendly every time I go, that I sit and eat there. So, if you’re in or around Boston, whether visiting or a local, and haven’t visited Vinny’s….you just don’t know what you’re missing. Tony will certainly take good care of you and your belly.
Vinny’s doesn’t disappoint, the stuffed pork chops, chicken lemon, the sausage spinach appetizer, and Marie the bartender rocks. She makes you feel at home, she’s a great soul. 5 stars!!
Authentic Italian dining and service was good as well.Recommended dishesItalian, Homemade Tiramisu
Extremely accommodating! Our large party was running super late, they said no worries! We came in, ordered, and all of us received the best food and service!
This hole in the wall is one of the best restaurants in Somerville based on their kitchen menu alone. I have had dishes like rabbit, veal, arancini, and lamb that were astonishingly good.Recommended dishesItalian, Chicken Ziti Broccoli, Rabbit
This is a great Italian Restaurant. Hanover St has nothing on Vinnies. The service is great and the food is even better. My favorites are the Seafood Extravaganza and the Veal Chop. The marinara is fantastic. The apps are great too! Little necks with garlic and oil with hot baguette.
Amazing food, classic Italian joint in Somerville! Must have the delicious fresh baked bread and their homemade pastas.
This place was the best place that we've ever eaten!! My wife got the salmon pasta gluten free and I got the rabbit. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and had great suggestions. Our food and beverages also came out very quickly. My wife also said she would fly into Massachusetts just to eat here
