Stephanie and her employees are great. We were able to enroll my daughter immediately. It’s awesome. They provide snacks and take the kids to the park some days and my daughter has only had a positive experience so far. Thank you guys!
I signed my child up for their summer program for kids going into kindergarten. The alacarte day rate was $60 - which was more than other places and a stretch for me to afford but because they went on field trips to go swimming, the park and other fun places I thought it would be worth it. I paid the $100 registration fee and bought a required “homework” book. I brought my child back the next week for his first day with a well stocked backpack - homework book, lunch, water bottle, extra clothes, sunscreen etc. When I came back to pick him up, the manager owner? met me at the door and said my son had a bad day. He had hit another kid and they have a zero tolerance policy for hitting so he was never allowed to come back. I get that hitting is not an ideal behavior and this was his first day so for all they know he is a problem kid who hits - but also he had JUST turned 5 and was in a new, unfamiliar environment with lots of other kids. Four and five year olds sometimes hit and behavior is communication so clearly something was going on. I was really surprised that he hit anyone at all he had never hit another kid that I was aware of in his previous preschool or daycare environments but I was ALSO surprised that a daycare which has small children attending was so ill equipped to deal with hitting that instead of addressing the problem and informing the parents, they just kick you out. As this had been only his first day, I asked if I could also get my $100 registration fee back. They refused and said it was non-refundable, no exceptions. As a low income, single mom $100 is a lot of money. So I basically paid $160 for them to watch my child for ONE DAY. My child was heartbroken about being kicked out and he sobbed the whole way home and didn’t say much more to me about it. A couple days later when he had calmed down, we were driving in the car and he told me that the day he was there, all the kids got to go on a field trip to the park the BIG thing he had been really looking forward to - the thing I was paying so much for him to have but that they made him stay back at the center because he “didn’t have a water bottle”. First, that’s untrue because I had packed him one. And second, this a problem so unable to be solved that you are going to refuse to allow a child to participate in the outing with all the other kids? Did the extreme frustration of a tiny person being punished for something that was neither true nor his fault lead to him hitting another kid? Maybe. I am not sure on the timeline. I do know that while I am still pretty upset that I paid $160 for them to watch my kid for only one day while also denying him access to group participation in the thing he wanted most to do that day the thing I was paying so much money for, I also feel like they did me a favor kicking him out. Clearly they are not equipped to deal with normal behaviors for small children, and unable to solve problems like looking in the side pocket of a backpack to locate a water bottle and are willing to punish kids for things that are not their fault. I also think refusing to refund a $100 registration fee to a low income family or any family! because the first day did not go well and the DAYCARE decided to end the relationship is a predatory practice which calls into question their business ethics.
Amazing group of woman who not only love my son, but they go above and beyond to build relationships with him. It’s one of his favorite places to be. The staff is always so prepared and ready to start the day with open arms and a smile! I’m so thankful for them!
This daycare doesn’t follow the state rules for an outdoor space for kids. The owner should not be around children as she is horrible with dealing with anything that doesn’t fit into a perfect box of a perfect child. No child is perfect.
Nice and reliable childcare to drop in hourly basis. Kids love to play with toys and they provide snacks.
Awesome place with certified teachers!
