Voorhies Memorial

This is a beautiful area, but be very cautious, especially in the evening/night. There were tons of homeless people staring us down, so we immediately left. There are some serious drug problems as well.

Adorable big fountain lined with 12 statue “heads” depicting the 12 years of the Chinese zodiac. Same heads as line the pond at the Palace in Vienna Austria. Never seen them like that anywhere else, but they are identical.

Too many yuppies here complaining about the homeless.. Everyone complaining instead of doing something about it and helping them. People forget the homeless are humans, peoples children brothers and parents who had bad luck.

Weird sculptures. But lots of homeless etc. Don't go at night!

This is a very cool place to stop and admire, but can be a tad dangerous.

Cool place for pictures. Very cool when the fountain is running through the summer.

Good day to visit the memorial.

It's a beautiful place to visit. The only problem is the city need to remove all the homeless people of sleeping there. It just will not make people come back anymore or not reccomend people to visit this place.

Definitely a wonderful spot to get photos! Just the fountain is a little disturbing with 2 mirror image statues of a little child on the back of a seal that is spitting at the other mirror statue. Not sure the intention but I can only assume it’s what a future generation will assume happened in real life “way back when”
