Really nice guys, chill and friendly in store. It's a small store but the selection is top tier, S+, love the sock wall and the tall board racks. They also picked up the phone right away, and they were very happy to answer my very specific questions about their hardware. Their stock doesn't include anything specific to electric skateboards, so I wasn't able to buy any bushings or washers. And if the owners are reading this: Talk to Riptide! They're really nice guys! You can literally call them for personalized bushing recommendations. I bet they'd love to have a local reseller of eskate parts.
Amazing staff, rad merch, and a piece of Baltimore skate culture history
I love this place!! Took my 12 yr old son for a new skateboard today and the employee working there was super friendly and helpful that he made the experience so easy. He helped my son pick out what was right for him. Esp helpful with making a reasonable choice for his age. I so appreciated that as a single mom with only 1 income. No pressure to buy him the most expensive board. THANK you
Connecting with Vu, is connecting with the skating scene in Bmore. It's skater owned and operated. They have boards, wheels, bearings, completes, shoes, tshirts, and more.
Small neighborhood shop with great customer service. Support your small local businesses. I’ve purchased several boards and accessories for my son at this and their other location. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and actually enjoy what they do. Thanks for all the help over the years. I’m simply a mom far out of her element and wasn’t made to feel that way.
The customer service is really good and the products are also really good. I recommend this skate shop.
Absolutely love this shop and its place and role in the community! Its a stylish shop with cool tees, socks, original artwork on clothes and decks.... anytime I have bought gear like new bushings, pivot cups and grip tape, the staff was always immediately available to set up and get the stuff on my board right away. always a professional job.... The shop is super close to the skatepark so its worth a trip to Hampden. The owner Gary is seriously the nicest guy who does so much for the skate community in Baltimore and is a saint. Everyone should get their gear from this local shop. Send your kids to the Vu Skate Camps in the summer, they are great fun, highly recommend!
My son 9yrs old and I went to Vu Skateboard Shop for my first time he had been there before when buying his skateboard this past Saturday... Ian was convinced he needed new wheels for his board... they could’ve easily gotten money outta me by having me buy new wheels for him... they could have told me anything and I would have believed them and shelled out money for Ian to have his skateboard up n running n ready to go... instead, they looked at his wheels and told him talked to him, his board so he needed to know what was up w/ it and told him his wheels were perfectly fine and were the right ones to be using when first starting out... explained to him when it would be time for new wheels and all... we didn’t buy anything but that was the best customer service we have gotten in a very long time and for that we will be purchasing any and all things Ian needs to continue skating
This is rad! All the gear you need and the owner has been ripping for decades and is still killing it while running one of the best shops I've been to.
Tbh it's a great place to get a skateboard at. They helped me to make my first skateboard and the person working there helped me build it.
