I bought my first bike since I was a kid here. It was a retro cruiser that they refurbished and it's been great. The staff is super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful if you need assistance with anything. I really like that it's a community workshop, I've been able to learn about bike maintenance and fix anything that's come up right there - they have all the tools you might need and plenty of spare parts. I've gotten a good few compliments on the new bike and I've always directed people here when we get talking.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable — I love my bike and highly recommend visiting! They also rent tandem bikes to couples, so check it out!
Rented bikes for two days along with helmets and locks. The gentlemen working were incredibly nice and got us set up quickly on some nice cruisers. If you're looking to bike around town, don't rent the blue bikes, come to this shop. Oh, and it's like $25/day which is way less than lyfts and helps out a local business with a great mission.
Perfect! Rented a sweet ride for the weekend. Open late. Walking distance from the Amtrak station. Everyone there was super helpful. Real bikes at real prices. ...and while you are there, check out the building they are in some interesting architecture.
I had an old Trek that needed different tires and some other updates. I stopped by for a couple hours and the staff helped me find what I needed. They helped me do the work myself, and provided tools and instruction. I saved money, met new people, and learned a lot.
What an incredible place! Just got a rear bike wheel for a very fair price. I was able to learn about the shop’s mission after a talk with the shop’s owner and it is truly a place intended to serve the community. What a place. I can’t wait to go here again.
When Vulture Space opened up years ago we came here and loved it. Had some lessons on trueing wheels, donated a bunch of bikes and parts. Good people. That was years ago but we went there today 6/13/20 at5:45ish and the bike we were looking at was a Cannondale Quick 6 Short bike. Vulture Space wanted $540 for it. Cannondale has it new for $480. Vulture Space simply said go buy it from Cannondale then. No budging on price for a donated bike. There is no loss only gain. In fact the guy said they are low on bikes so they probably are going to raise prices. The bike was for my son and I guess he will have to wait. For local non profit I'll stick to DreamBikes.
Really friendly & knowledgeable staff. We had walked by a few times and with my former bike disappearing we were set on making a visit. We got a very reasonably priced mountain bike; I was interested, they let me ty it out and I rode out of the store with no buyers regret. They also have accessories & spare parts of everything if anything needs replacing down the line. Which happened to my boyfriend’s bike the same day I got mine, got the part we needed within minutes thanks to the helpful gents working that day. We will be back for all our future cycling needs. Thank you!!
Very affordable, extremely friendly, and more than competent at their jobs. My bike left feeling stronger than ever, and they did a quick job of it too, just for fixing the back tire after a deflating. A terrific alternative to Erik's Bikes and Boards. These guys are also giving out Bike Benefits stickers that offer some really nice deals, which really help downtowners like me. They even have cute doggies there to boot! Moni is a sweetheart once she gets to know you!
Great place. Love taking my bikes here to work on them. Hell they even have a bundle of used parts to scavenge from, and a decent selection of new stuff too. People here are very helpful, and it got a super unique look with lots of art, interesting decorations and exceptional people. They also sell refurbished bikes that are in tip top riding shape, and do rentals. Overall, an excellent hub for downtown cycling.
