Definitely not disappointed with the quality provide at Wabora. I would definitely be back for my sushi fix. Service was attentive and courteous. Drink menu very sparse so be ready to compromise. Overall had a good experience.
We bought a group on for this restaurant and finally found the time to try it out. Food was delicious. Sushi was fresh and very tasty. We also ordered a udon tempura which was equally delicious and well prepared. Service was great and preparation was fast. I'll definitely come back!
This place is really good. So good we came back the next day. The only down side is the size of the place. It’s really cozy. So if your not into setting close to other diners, this maybe isn’t the place for you. But the positive to that is that if you’re new to the area, you can chat with your fellow diners and make some friends. The sushi and other items are good here. We enjoyed our meals and environment. Can’t say I had any negative comments about the food. Maybe the miso soup can be more hearty. The dumpling soup could have had better dumplings. Now that I think about, maybe soups are not their thing. I don’t eat sashimi or or other raw fish items so can’t comment on that. The staff are nice and Chefs were friendly. Although check your order and the charges. They forgot an order the first day and gave us the wrong check the next. The couple next to us also didn’t get an item.
Disclaimer: bit of a sushi snob. Good sushi, just not phenomenal. Korean owned so there's good Korean food also. I think the waitress was expecting me to speak Korean but when I spoke English, it was like she couldn't handle it. Good thing I spoke Korean. Otherwise, prompt service, good food, fairly priced. Happy
Really nice staff. Safe service. Tasty shusi volcano roll is boom. Out door seats is perfect to enjoy a nice day on Newberry Street. Not over price at all. Love this place. I just wish the inside were a little bit more spacious.
There’s nothing special about this place. Sushi was meh, not impressive, just alright. Didn’t get the chance to try one of the desserts. The service is okay, kind of slow. The place has nice outdoor ambiance, but inside is dirty and stinky. The place is overrated and overpriced. Won’t go back. There are much better places to spend your money, not worth to come here.
I got the Combo A Boat, a side of sashimi octopus, hot Saki and a Sapporo beer. I sat at the bar and viewed my chef preparing my dish and very much approved of his preparation methods. The octopus came out first and was quite fresh and cut correctly. The Saki was the perfect temperature but the glass for the Sapporo was not cold. The boat came out and was prepared very nicely. The spicy tuna had enough heat that didn't overtake the taste. The sashimi was thickly cut and melted in my mouth. The sushi rolls were small but I was able to eat everything as I should have. Quaint place that made it worth the while.
I had order sashimi rice bowl to go and this is how it looks. The presentation is just wonderful and it is just full of flavor! This is actually my second time I have visit this restaurant and repeated my order. I find it addicting and really filling. Very friendly staff and great service. Highly recommended.
Awesome Restaurant! My favorite is Volcano Scallop and Spicy Cottage. My wife and kidos all loved it. I can recommand with confidence. You must taste it!
Service was very friendly and attentive. The sushi and sashimi was as delicious and well prepared as it was beautiful. Will definitely return and recommend.
