We brought our corgi here to stay for 3 nights and a half day. The staff here are very polite and upon walking in, already 2/3 staff members were kindly greeting our dog. This small gesture was nice to see and experience. Sure enough you can trust your pup to be well taken care of. The women behind the front desk also answered all the questions I asked and were professional. My only concern was that I booked him for a Bath/Brush/Nails appointment, specifically for the last day before we picked him up, and we requested that specifically. However, when we picked him up, they said he took a bath the day prior. The whites around his paws looked stained yellow or just stained overall, still. He also was still a little smelly.. We ended up just giving him another bath at home. Overall, his stay was still good and I'd recommend to others & would bring my dog here again. Next time I would just not book the bath/brush, as it seems a waste of money. $57.... Anyway, thank you Santa Clara WagHotels team.
Best Staff Ever. They remember every dogs name and personalities. Hands on and attentive. Super personal, accommodating and friendly staff. Donny, Zack x 2, Desiree, Taja, Liz, and I am sure I missing more names. My dog has been going there for about 2 years now and there is no where else I would leave him. Their all day play is great for the days you need to work, your dog will come out tired. If anything is wrong or not a good day, they either call you or let you know when you pick up your fur baby. Again best, super friendly staff that I feel calm about when leaving my fur baby! Wag Santa Clara, you guys ROCK!
I have been bringing my dog since 2021 and will never take him anywhere else. The staff here is amazing period from evening morning and night staff all personally know my dog and have cute nicknames for him. They even go above and beyond to make a last minute accommodation if I need to leave him for the night. They are all genuine dog lovers and attend to your dog personally. My dog is my child and I would entrust anywhere else but this location for him.
We set up a reservation at the last minute and Wags Hotel did a great job getting a reservation for our Manny. Initially, we thought we would have to put our doggie in "special care" so there wasn't any room in Oakland. We had to go to the one in Santa Clara instead. We haven't had our rescue for long less than a year and he hasn't been around many other doggies so we weren't sure how well he'd do in play time. I asked if they would at least give him a try in a group and he did fine so the manager took off the charge for us! Thank you, Wags!!
We like boarding Finley at Wag. It's really nice when you see the staff caring about the dogs and petting them some really like that gives the dogs reassurance. We have boarded in other places and you don't see them petting the dogs much. Some dogs are nervous and I think it makes them more comfortable
This is our first time staying there, also first time doggy Daycare for both me and my dog. My dog went in with a wagging tail and came back with a wagging tail. I think he really liked it there. After a long day playing with other dogs, he came home tired and was sleeping like a baby. I also like it that I can see him in the webcam throughout the day. Although viewing from a distance and with all other black labs around, I can't really tell which one is him, but they all seem pretty happy. One thing I forgot to ask is whether he was fed and when was he fed. I had to figure it out from his potty schedule when he got home. But I'm glad it all worked out!
We boarded our two dogs at the Santa Clara wag hotel for a few days. They seemed happy. We had a good experience using the same location when we only had one dog. However this stay when we checked them at 12:40 pm, their room was not available until late afternoon early evening as the current occupants were not picked up yet. When we picked them up on pick up day ONE hour late due to traffic we were charged an additional 1/2 a day extra for each dog.
Wag is a staple for dog care and professional approach to boarding and day care. High end care = high end prices, so tour furry friend's room might cost as much as yours in a regular vacation night. Wag takes in dogs that need special treatment and also intact males. As they cannot olay with the main doggy population , you will need to pay an extra $50 for an intact male so he can get some exercise away from his room. All together, Wag has remained a trusted partner in boarding your dog.
100% recommend. The staff is super friendly, the process as smooth as it can be, and the app lets you see the dogs in live cams. Most of the times I've opened the live cams I saw a staff member engaged with the dogs, making sure they're OK :
Took my dog Maggie in for boarding and she seemed fairly well cared for so no major concerns there. I am however pretty unhappy with the billing and customer service. We had to sign up our dog for specialized care which is $50.00 per night. We dropped her off at 9 PM and were charged $50.00 extra for "specialized care" for that night which is crazy for a few hours of service. I called to ask that it be removed from the bill or reduced and the response was simply "no, that's not our policy". I mentioned I would be taking my business elsewhere and the customer service representative said "okay, bye". Not the level of service or kindness I would expect from a place that charges so much money. Very disappointed in the rude attitude and disregard. Consider some customer service training as it looks like many have had similar encounters with rude or unhelpful customer service. Update: I did receive a refund and a kind message from Wag. Appreciate the quick response.
