I will say first there are some really great and welcoming people in the pharmacy and I appreciate them a lot. I am sure that the things I am going to talk about in this review are a result of walgreens trying to make as much money as they can and pay as few people as possible. I have been waiting on a prescription for 2 weeks past the refill date. First they told me it was too early to refill by one day. Okay, I called back the next day and they told me they were out and had to order more. I waited a few days and called back because I haven't heard anything they had me on hold for 10 minutes and then picked up and immediately hung up the phone. I requested specific sized needles for one of the medications I have to inject and they told me I couldn't get them until my prescription came in which resulted in me having to use needles that were much longer and much more painful. I can not stress enough don't try to go here for prescriptions. I have given up on getting mine. I will be transferring to another pharmacy.

I went to Walgreens around 8:25 am - the cashier was extremely hateful and rude. I biked there and in New Orleans people steal bikes constantly . I walked in with my bike because I was in such a rush to put money on my card to be able to pay for an at home visit for a doctor to take care of my partner. There were multiple homeless people outside and I was worried it would get stolen. Only 2 people were in the store checking out. She raised her voice at me three times saying I can’t have the bike inside - I tried to tell her I’ll just be two minutes and she raised her voice louder saying I have to leave my bike outside while I was explaining it could easily get stolen in those two minutes . I put it outside and her coworker was laughing at me very loudly to the point I started balling my eyes out . She didn’t seem to care or have any customer services skills at all. Maybe she was so hateful due to my race. She kept rolling her eyes at me while I was trying to put money on the card. The least you can do in customer service is be kind - she gave me hatefulness as did her coworker. I felt humiliated while trying to keep calm during this interaction. I will be contacting corporate because nobody deserves to be treated with such hate over something so minuscule.

Sorry for the typos I actually live in chalmette less than 1 mi from a Walgreens but I never changed my prescription from Carrollton & Canal because pharmacy department is EXCEPTIONAL. ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! I doubt if anyone from Walgreens Corporation will actually read this review from a REAL CUSTOMER but they should - IMMEDIATELY. Walgreens Corporate should know that there's a team of professionals emphasis on relentless professionals in the pharmacy department who actually cares about people I'm people too . I have been a customer of Walgreens from as far away as Mandeville La, clean across the New Orleans metropolitan area but have never experienced a group so willing prioritize the concerns of a single customer but this is the standard of service at this location. Walgreens corporate should really know just how talented - how first class - and how perfectly they represent Walgreens with absolute class. Recently my prescription was forgotten in my pocket and the entire bottle was washed in the washing machine. The pharmacist who helped me today I didn't get his name but a gentleman with reddish beard - Middle Eastern accent was first to set the standard of excellence in customer service. He worked through the issue with my prescription and that's when I noticed the entire staff assisted him and problem solving my unique circumstance. The best part of it all, they prevented me from having to make a second trip for the same prescription - PRICELESS! Walgreens corporate should know: They didn't make me feel like a criminal! They did it make me feel as if something nefarious was underway! They understood that I am an exhausted educator /author/data scientist who simply forgot his medication in his pocket and unfortunately that prescription fell victim to the washing machine. It is for that reason that I paused my day to say thank God for these loving compassionate individuals at Walgreens on Carrollton avenue and canal Street. The staff at this location are a bunch of superheroes with superpowers who routinely go far and beyond what they're being paid to do and I truly appreciate their hard work and effort my behalf. I conclude my review with the following: To the management and leadership of Walgreens - you have assembled a group that should be a template for every Walgreens across this country because they about people in a throwback kind of way and in a way that deserves a slow handclap of praise. This pharmacy is the absolute worst, constantly incorrectly updated app. If you call they put you on hold and hang up on you. The pharmacist is rude as hell, I think was implying I was a drug seeker when trying to pick up my prescriptions, everything delayed 3-5 days. You always wait 30 mins while the techs play. Appalling

I only go here for vaccinations because it’s close to my house and unlike CVS accepts my insurance, but it’s always a very long wait time regardless of what the appointment is.

Worst Walgreens I have ever been to. All the staff I’ve interacted with, including pharmacists are rude and dismissive. Won’t be coming back here

Typical Walgreens, but not quite as well stocked, nor as clean. Shelves didn't have some routine items that we've consistently found in Walgreens around the country.

Went to store to do a door dash order and cashier refused to give me a hand basket. The cashier told me to gradually bring my items from my list to the counter. Very rude and inconsiderate. There was another cashier on the other side name Lyric who also refused to give me a hand basket. I requested to speak to a manager and they both said no. Both these employees need better training. I had to go find a manager who was very nice and handed me a hand basket. I always have orders with DoorDash from this location and never had a problem with any of the other employees handing me a hand basket.

The ladies at the pharmacy are so kind and professional. My insurance is not very good and Hined went out of her way to give me information on some programs that help to get my cost down. Highly recommend!
