I have never had a smooth or easy experience with this pharmacy. They find a way to mess up my prescription EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Even if my prescription is "ready," I still end up waiting more than a half hour for some reason, and that's after waiting 20 minutes in line. After having it happen again today, I'm done.
I had a prescription I tried to pick up and I was informed my the pharmacist that my insurance did not cover my mediation. It turned out this was untrue and I was able to collect my mediation from another better Walgreens. So, either this pharmacist decided to not do their job that day or was so incompetent that they couldn't handle the fundamental task of filling a prescription.
My interaction with store has been poor at best. I recently moved into the neighborhood, as a result of Extremly poor customer service I have received I will take my business to a different location. The reasons why fall into two categories 1 Poor or lack of effective communication skills by the majority of staff I have had an opportunity to have an interaction with, culminating today with me calling the store today and asking what was a very direct question Can you provide me with a name and number of the General Manager. Someone that does not work at the store but is the interface between the store and the corporate offices . After several attempts to request and several times explaining I finally had to concede i was not going to get this information. The disturbing thing about this issue my concern was not with the store but the pharmacy pharmacy. I will be calling the corporate office on Monday. i will post again after speaking with them as my concern has been documented in past reviews reguarding the pharmacy . If these reviews add any value to your shopping choices please check back for updates, I maybe forced to use my prepaid legal benefits provided to me through my employer.
Just plain inefficient and as fast as sloths on vacation. If you value your time, this is not the place for you. It takes more than an hour just to get to the pharmacy counter, verify insurance, and fill in their paperwork for a simple flu vaccine. The entire process that takes 10 minutes takes over an hour. We are stuck here for over an hour now and still waiting for the vaccine.
Extremely slow service. It is normal to wait up to an hour before anyone even attempts to help. For those who need medications that day it is very inconvenient. Very rude staff. I would not recommend sending prescriptions to this location..
Writing this as anonymous for privacy reasons. 1. Barbara, not sure if she is still there, stashes items for a couponer in the back of the store. Then she goes to the parking lot and receive free items like laundry detergent, drier sheets etc. 2. Manager, Alberto, hid 30 plushies in the back of the store, wait till they were on 90% clearance and bought them all. 3. 1000s of dollars items are thrown out food, agendas for kids, candles, cups, clothes but they dont donate them to charities or give to poor staff members. 4. A customer with chickenpox came in, touched things all around the store and they didn't close the entire store down to clean it. 5. Co-Manager Amelia make you come in when sick. A coworker told me they was having UTI and made to stand in front. Made to ask permission to use bathroom when having UTI. 6. Making employees clean explosive diarhea in the bathrooms. bad managers and treating employees badly.
Pleasant neighborhood Walgreens at the corner of Alameda & Southmore. The store is clean with shiny floors and good merchandise presentation. It's well staffed with friendly and helpful associates. At Christmas time, they have an aisle devoted to nice gift items. Walgreens has some good weekly sales
Worst pharmacy so far. Kept on hold for 23 minutes and every 5 minutes they picked up and at the end they hung up without ever talking.
I've used this pharmacy plenty of times. Sometimes staff seem happy to help, sometimes they do not. Just like most other pharmacies. It kind of depends on how busy they are. Sometimes the wait in the pharmacy is long too whether it's over the phone or in the drive thru. The store area is usually clean and stocked so no issues there. Cashiers usually greet you when you enter. As long as I'm in the area I don't mind using this location.
Pharmacy was extremely slow and disorganized. Had to remind them multiple times that I was in line to receive a vaccine
