Walt Disney Concert Hall

Go visit: We walked by at an evening stroll and marveled at the architecture when one of the doorman (woman in this case) pointed out that we could come in by buying very reasonably priced tickets ($2.50 per person or so) for a music lecture on composing, so we did. We had a delightful lecture and got to see the beautiful concert hall from inside. All walking distance from our hotel, The Standard. Nice.

Went to see an avante guard ensemble and the acoustics were awesome! What they say about not a bad seat in the house is true. And the ambience is very warm, the interior design is comfortable, and people can move to and from their seats with ease. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because I think they dropped the ball when they picked the carpeting. But the music is what matters here so it's definitely worth going. Their gift shop is excellent as well. Original merchandise and an excellent selection of classical music.

I visited Disney Hall for the first time to watch Colburn Conservatory perform Mauler's first symphony and I was extremely impressed with the inside of the hall. It is beautiful and obviously well maintained. There really is no bad seat in the whole place. I was also very impressed with the orchestra!

Is everyone knows the place is beautiful and the Acoustics can't be beat. The lineup is always fantastic, especially when Gustavo is at the helm. Going up to the roof for happy hour Fridays and drinking some wine, looking out at the beauty of the city is amazing

Designed by Frank Gehry, Walt Disney Concert Hall has, along with the Hollywood Sign and the silhouette of City Hall, become a commonly recognized symbol of Los Angeles. Home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, it is one of the world's most acoustically sophisticated concert halls. Whether visiting for a concert or simply for a tour, the building's perimeter should be explored. The Concert Hall's "backyard" has a small outdoor amphitheater, a fountain, a park and various plants all of which compliment the structure. In addition, views of downtown from different perimeter vantage points help make navigating the numerous outside staircases rewarding.
