I’ve been coming here since I was a kid—always been a family favorite. Seems like it’s not as good lately, but I find myself coming back for the nostalgia I suppose. It’s not terrible, just not the same. Today I had the blackened salmon salad and crab cakes. $20 for 2 small, mediocre crab cakes is a little stiff, but I felt like the salad was worth it. Lots of good stuff in it and it was really yummy. Friend got the bison burger and said it was just okay. Fries were also hard/cold. Our server was not great either. Not friendly or personable at all and we didn’t see much of him. Most of the negatives can probably just be chalked up to staff/off day. It happens. I’ll be back at some point, but not in a rush!
I was introduced to this restaurant by my cousin and aunt. It was all of our first time eating here. It was selected for the proximity to all of us. The outside and inside of the restaurant looked absolutely beautiful and clean. The employees were all very nice and courteous. Meals were out of this world with presentation and taste. I would definitely love to return to this restaurant and the future when I’m visiting Denver.
This restaurant is a real gem! The food on the main menu is amazing, but I also love to enjoy the specials of the day sometimes. Among my favorites are the calamari and artichokes, the salmon salad with the beets, the charcoal dough pizza, the lasagna. They also have great deserts like Cappuccino mousse pie and flourless chocolate cake. Service was always great too.
We dined in at Wash Park Grille because it was too hot to eat outside at the lovely cafe-style tables. It is located in a charming row of restaurants and shops. The inside, however, was welcoming with a handsome dark-wood grille vibe. We all ate every bite of our burgers and salads, and our server was attentive. Will definitely return next time we’re in Denver!
Great meal at this longtime fave spot in wash park. Creative cocktails try the Deep Claw if you are partial to the classic Long Island iced tea and wonderfully prepared food. I tried the black garlic chicken and my partner had the fish special what kind of fish I've forgotten but the fish was the best. The real star for us was the oysters Rockefeller. Just wish we could get those plump east coast oysters here. We finished with the banana chocolate bread pudding which was deliciously decadent. Looking forward to visiting again to try some pasta dishes.
The food here is O.U.T.S.T.A.N.D.I.N.G. LOVED kicking things off with these smoked oysters. The Colorado bison short ribs are legit fall off the bone, no knife needed perfect. The Colorado lamb pork chops with pesto were absolutely delicious. The slow roasted duck confit tagliatelle physically made my toes curl. Great balance of citrus, sauce, and texture. The housemade chips for the ahi tuna poke was such a nice touch. The saltiness of the chips paired nicely with the super fresh ahi. And of course, our server Diana was such a sweetheart! She was so nice. We literally had her offer to take our 6-month old on a walk around the restaurant for a few minutes so we could eat. WHAT. SERVICE!!! Clearly a great family run joint.
Being relatively new to the greater Denver area, we came across the WPG while looking for vintage items over on Kentucky. Have been several times and have always found the staff to be helpful, courteous and friendly. The food is very good and always arrives at the right temp. It’s becoming a favorite place for us when we are in the area. Parking can be challenging, especially on Thursday through Saturday.
Have been coming here for years but this last experience has me in shock. Came to have a nice dinner with some friends I haven't seen in a while. Dinner went pretty well, things were not cooked to order but were close. When asked if i wanted dessert I ordered a piece of their "special cheesecake" to go. The waitress said it was awesome and that she would bring the bill. I paid the bill then left with my friends not realizing that I had forgot the to-go cheesecake. After swapping out cars when getting home and driving back to the restaurant I was treated very disrespectfully. I requested my cheesecake that was left behind and instead of receiving it I was interrogated. The staff acted like I was just walking in out of the blue trying to con them out of a piece of cheesecake. The manager then got involved meanwhile I have been waiting for 10 min to make a simple pickup and proceeded to go print out receipts calling me a liar because there was no cheesecake on the receipts from the last little while. BEWARE when you spend your money here, the surrounding places will treat you with respect when you are in their establishments.
I have only been here on Sundays for brunch. I love the Atmosphere, especially the patio. I have found the food to be undererwhelming. I have tried the breakfast burrito, burger, and chicken sandwich. The food wasn't bad. It just didn't excite me.Food: 3/5
Absolutely loved Wash Park Grille. One of the best happy hours in Denver. $4 beers in Wash Park is pretty much unheard of. The anchovy aioli was great. Lobster pizza was great. Didn’t love the calamari, but it introduced me to the aioli, so it was still money well spent. Bathrooms were also a great place to snap a quick mirror selfie so your Instagram followers know that you’re centered thanks to wearing a fresh set of mala beads out.
