Love my neighborhood rec center; great gym, friendly staff and lots of recreation options from swim aerobics to pickleball.

I enjoy the park as well as the rec center. The people around there have all pretty much been and are some of the kindest and most gracious to homeless people that I've seen. Keep it up!#kind&nice!

Friendly staff , great pool, nice weight and exercise room, big pool with some splashing even during adult swim. Hours can be unpredictable due to events or staffing. Update: seems more stable now. Friendly staff.

We have been visited this rec center for a long time. It becomes better and better with every year. The front desk staff is great, very welcoming and supportive. A volleyball coach Cassandra is a rare gem, a great lead for kids. She is always cheerful and kind, patient and knowledgeable during a volleyball practice. Cassandra is amazing. Thank you.

Forget about swimming in the early morning at 6 am. Wash park rec center has unreliable lifeguards. Often, a lifeguard doesn't show up to their shift; This usually results in the pool being closed until another one arrives to cover a shift or the other shift starts. Usually, when this happens the pool only opens by 7 or 8 am. This situation has happened multiple times. It seems like none of them have been fired yet, or they don't plan on it. This terrible management has left me frustrated after many countless mornings waking up to go swimming and having to drive back home. While Wash Park is an excellent Rec Center, post-covid, the management of their staff has gone entirely downhill and has no sign of improvement in the past 2 to 3 months.

Really nice park! Expect it to be busy no matter when you go. They've got 2 separate walking loop paths, 2 lakes, basketball, tennis, etc. There is plenty parking around the perimeter and it's free.

The gym is constantly over-crowded. They do not have enough space or machines for the number of memberships that they give out. In addition, they make it extremely difficult to end a membership. They do not allow cancellations or transfers of any kind. I attempted to cancel my membership and was given several pieces of conflicting information by employees, only to be told that membership cancellation is not an option after a week of confusion. They chalked the incorrect information I was given up to “part-time employees” giving out incorrect membership information.

I really enjoy working out here. The staff is friendly and the equipment is always kept in good working order, including 4 TVs in the cardio room. Can get a little busy during typical busy fitness center hours, but it's manageable. Most people keep to themselves, and are very respectful of others. Has a great swimming pool and large locker rooms. My only wishes are a bit longer hours on the weekends and a few more open gym hours.
