Water Brothers Surf & Skate

Sid, the owner is a local... beyond local... surf and skate legend. This is a real surf shop, totally local, old school, and such a part of Newport it is worth the stop even as a tourist. The Water Brothers t-shirts are so cool, the kids and my self look forward to getting one every time we visit.

Legendary spot. Purchased my BZ Body Board here in the early 90’s for $65. It was a a lot of money at the time for how young I was without a job and provided a ton of great memories. Best part is watching my kids use it still to this day. Loved calling the wave report daily. Look forward to visiting next time we’re in town.

Always a great time. Sid, the owner, is the nicest guy and always takes time to talk to the people in the store. Awesome merch. Last time I was there, he told me to stick around and watch him get punched by a professional Martial Artist. Love this place!

Had the coolest time stopping here a few years back. Sid was "working" the store, he was hilarious! One of the nicest guys I have ever met. He gave me a David Allen Cole cd because I asked him who the guy was who was playing on his TV! I always try to stop in and buy their newest t-shirts every time I come to town.

Sid Abruzzi is the real deal. Hard core skate and surf with a real big heart. He won't sell it he is not sure it is right for you. If he doesn't have something you need/want he will do his best to get it for you. Also has the best and most reliable surf report on each morning. He makes it easy to "know before you go."

Awesome shop, kind of a bummer that I bought a hoodie a size big here, and I loved it, until I washed it once and now it fits like it's a size too small : it would have been great if they were pre-washed or had a sign to warn you that they shrink a lot, nothing else I own has changed size that much before.

Sid is the best, you can not go wrong shopping for any boards or gear at Water Brothers!

Good place to get awsome merch and hang out while listening to Sid telling stories.
