Now known as the Watershed Institute, it's a sprawling park nestled inside the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed. They have a wonderful education center that is LEED Platinum Certified with its use of Solar Panels, green roof, Rainwater Utilization and more! They are host to numerous educational events and social gatherings. Their water protection research goes beyond just this area. Worth a visit and worth supporting!

We had a lovely day with perfect weather. You must remember to book by calling in advance because we didn't have reservations and almost didn't make it into the tour. Also, remember to bring water. The butterfly house is very hot so you may only be able to stay in it for short periods of time. You can go in and out but of course you have to be careful so as not to allow butterflies to escape. Although we didn't catch any butterflies while on the walking tour, we had a lot of fun trying. This is a great thing to do in the spring. We will definitely be back.

I had a great time, although the maps were a little unhelpful at times. I was alone and had a hankering for adventure and didn't mind getting turned around, but on the trail I ran into a family with some young kiddos who were having a hard time (and were just as lost as me haha). But I loved the haiku station. Such a thoughtful lovely element.

Great environmental center. Plenty of hiking trails. Lots of indoor exploring too. Several events throughout the year. Excellent nature-themed gift shop!!

I went there for a hike over the winter. If you're looking for a review of the actives then this review will not be helpful to you. I hiked the trails from here all the way to Hopewell and I was satisfied. It was a flat path for most of the hike until the steep climb over the ridge into Hopewell. I then hiked Back. It was solid and I was happy to complete it. It's not a difficult hike but would be nice for an afternoon stroll but if you want somthing challenging then I recommend something else. Very good upkeep of the trails and the pond is pretty.
