This deli is truly a diamond in the rough. For those of you who are New Yorkers that are visiting or transplanted, you HAVE to eat here at least once. It has the best bagels and lox that I’ve eaten outside of Long Island. They have a special that has two bagels as well as enough lox and other toppings for two people, and it’s totally worth sharing, or ordering to yourself if you’re really hungry. They also had delicious sandwiches with really modular customizability. We had a little bit of a wait during the weekend brunch rush, so consider a wait before you go!
Visited for our first time. Sandwiches where amazing and very filling. Fills up fast around lunch time so maybe go early if you’re in a hurry. Both our meals where great and everything we saw around us looked amazing as well.
My first time ordering food from here and OH MY GOODNESS! It did NOT disappoint! Yes, the prices are a little on the higher side, but it’s so worth it! And there is enough to feed two! The gravy is the best!! Definitely will be ordering from here again!
When I lived at 527 West 110th Street in Manhattan, you could find an ah-maz-ing Jewish deli in almost every neighborhood. Here in Las Vegas, you can find an ah-maz-ing Asian restaurant in every neighborhood. Jewish delis, not so much. Green Valley is lucky to have Weiss Deli. You don't need to fly to New York City to enjoy the blessings of a traditional Jewish deli. Almost all the baked goods and breads come out of the ovens in the restaurant. On week-ends you can order a sandwich with challah, the traditional sweet, braided Sabbath bread. But the standout is their signature rye bread. It's pocked with real rye seeds. But the bread is yeasty and soft which contrasts with its super crunchy crust. I always take a loaf home. The deli is known from its combos. You can get pastrami and corned beef crowned with cole slaw in a mountainous sandwich. In fact every sandwich I saw come out of the kitchen needed more than two hands to hold. But the best combo is the matzo ball chicken noodle soup. I make matzo balls but they never come out this fluffy. They were the size of a grapefruit. And the deli serves homemade chicken soup. I can tell it's been simmering for hours because of the natural chicken fat in the broth. I devour this soup all year long, even when it's 111 outside. Because it's that good. To the left is a deli counter where you can buy goodies to take home. I rarely leave empty handed. The decor itself looks like New York City circa 1970. The owners care more about the food, which is fine by me. There's plenty of FREE parking because it's in a strip mall. Just be careful on a Saturday afternoon because Trader Joe's is almost next door. Weiss Deli is a long drive for me from my home in Summerlin. But it beats getting on a plane to Manhattan!
Their bagels are the best I've ever had outside of New York and Chicago. They have good whipped cream cheese, it's just Philadelphia cream cheese whipped up, but it's still very tasty. Cookies and bakery items are great. Their sandwiches are quite pricey but they definitely fill two people up. I would recommend the chicken salad sandwich. Homemade pickles and potato salad round out the flavors. It's not always too busy here either. Joint has been around a long time and is a good staple in the community.
This is the place to go if you are craving a Reuben or pastrami sandwich. It’s small deli near the trader joes shopping center. The restaurant is a bit small. They can get very busy especially around lunch. The food is excellent! We usually split a melted Reuben sandwich with fries since the portions are huge. You can also order half portion and get a soup or salad. It’s also a bakery so you can buy fresh made bread to go. I would recommend the chicken noodle soup!! Delicious!
Their FOOD was DELICIOUS, as ALWAYS, but they were SUPER CROWDED! Not everyone wearing MASKS! We went to EAT anyway! They ARE a BIT pricey, but the large QUANTITY of food makes UP for it! And it was NICE TO Notice MORE Vegan, & Vegetarian Options on the Menu, than they USED TO HAVE!
Heard about Weiss Deli from friends. This day, shared a Pastrami sandwich during a late lunch after lunchtime ‘rush’. Sandwich was outstanding. Staff waiting on our table were friendly and efficient. We observed staff carefully cleaning tables which were being prepared for customers while we waited. Visited the deli counter with same experience - friendly, helpful staff. We’ll be back!
Found them on UberEats - Love this place. Home cooked feel but the flavors are anything but. Veggie Hash w/ Egg on Everything bagel - is a full meal. Also the mashed potatoes/brown gravy - I crave it & am eating both for breakfast. It’s very unassuming- tucked away in corner near Trader Joe’s. They’re busy - but worth the wait.
There is so many good things to say about this place where do I begin? You can't go wrong with any of the menu items. The pastrami on rye oh my goodness, I am from New York living in Vegas seventeen years and just discovered Weiss deli last year and I go there at least once a week. Check it out you won't be great. The only disappointment is that they're not open later for people that get off work at 5 o'clock it would be awesome to be able to have dinner there too bad they don't close about 7, they close at 4 and they open at 8.
