Nothing in stock related to rc flying. Mostly plastic models and some rockets
Small, but nice. Given the size of the store, solid selection. Focus is on models, and traditional kits ships, planes, arms/armor, less so supplies and modern fare gundam, citadel, infinity, privateer press. That being said, nice little store, might be back for that 1/24th F-14.
This is the ONLY independently owned family run hobby shop left on the island of Oahu, if not the entire state of Hawaii. If you're looking a slick and glossy department store where the selection of models and paints are sparse and the staff knows nothing about the merchandise, go to Walmart. But if you want a store stocked with more merchandise than shelf space, run by a man with a vast knowledge of the products he sells and will gladly share it; then Weller's Hobbycraft is the place for you. The stock of models appears to be mostly cars and military planes, ships and vehicles, but also has several science fiction kits, including some classic out of production kits. If they don't have it, and it's available, the owner will special order it for you. Weller's also has collections of out of print collector and special interest magazines that have been kept in good condition. I also saw jigsaw puzzles and old model rocket kits. There is even a rack of vintage shirts and collectibles featuring classic rock bands. There were a few craft supplies available, but when I asked the clerk told me they stopped carrying those items and what's available is whatever they have left. If you like to browse through an old hobby shop filled with items old and new, where you never know exactly what you will find until you find it, then Weller's Hobbycraft is the place for you.
Best shop I’ve been to on the island. The owner was very enjoyable to talk with, super knowledgeable and had a great selection of vintage t-shirts. I’d recommend it to anyone
Always the place to go on Oahu when you want to start a new model. Helpful and friendly, and has a great selection of quality model kits and paints. A local gem.
I began modeling in 1980s and 90s. Wellers is always there with solid info. Great customer service.
Good little hobby store, owner is friendly and helpful. Not a massive selection but I still picked up two kits.
Don't waste your time. No prices, smells of mildew. Charging cover price for 5 year old, yellowed issues of magazines. Paint is all separated.
Extremely limited in models kits and especially in supplies. Most paint racks are empty.
Awesome shop for models! Staff is great and will always find away to help!
