Wishing I could give 0 stars - I purchased a 24x8 Well Cargo enclosed trailer from Brown Motor Cars in Des Moines, IA in December of 2016. At purchase I noticed the back door didn't close properly and the salesman assured me the problem was the lock and that he would order a new one. (from inside the trailer you could see a 2 ft gap in the backdoor allowing light/water in) When I arrived home after purchasing the trailer, we ran a 6' flat edge level up the backside of the trailer to try and identify the problem. The back of the trailer was not square and or flat, so the door was never going to seal until the framework of the trailer was adjusted. After getting zero results form Brown's, I contacted Wells Cargo. They were a little slow to respond, but said they would pick up the trailer to repair. The worked a little on the trailer and sent it back to me. I was not happy with the repair as all they did was change the lock and forced the door to close. Now the door was bending to make it seal. I contacted Vicki at Wells Cargo and she assured me she would watch it through the whole repair and make sure it was repaired correctly. They picked it up and repaired it by twisting the framework of the door to make it seal around the trailer. When they delivered, I refused the repair and sent it back. The repairs have been simple band aid fixes that I could have done. I felt this trailer was BRAND NEW and should be like a new trailer. They took the trailer back (third trip) to repair and they promised to send photos to get my ok. They sent photos of the front, the side and the back of the trailer from about 10' away. You couldn't see detail and they were demanding I ok the repair before they would return it. After giving me a few more photos, Vicki assured me they had repaired the trailer. Today is the 14th day of August 2017 and I have just received my trailer back. (the trailer has never been used) They have taken every shortcut to repair this trailer that they can. They cut the hinges on the rear door and re-welded them. The welding looks like something a jr high student could do. Very rough and uneven. Plus they never touched the frame of the trailer. Now the door is bent to adjust to the back of the trailer. I am sick of fooling with these people and their terrible repairs on a Brand New trailer. I have attached a photo of the gap between the back of the door frame and a straight edge. It is at least 1/4"-3'8" at the top of the door. It is caused by the frame underneath the siding of the trailer being cut too long halfway up the side of the trailer. This has caused the end of the trailer to be curved and not flat.
